Fortune Soars Like a Heavenly Steed, Friends Gather from All Directions (Changsha BuBuGao Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Experience)
I am someone who cannot build relationships with others, and thus have missed many opportunities in life.
1. A Humsong
The look of this world
Wandering again in Star City, the scene remains unchanged: IFS is packed with bustling passersby, Yuelu Mountain is filled with people speaking dialects that sound familiar yet foreign, and Hunan Provincial Museum is crowded with visitors...
Such clamor has nothing to do with me after all.
Admittedly, if you're visiting a trendy city like Changsha for the first time, for convenience I'd also recommend staying near Wuyi Square, making it easy to check out the food scattered across the streets and visit many famous attractions.
In my view, the charm of art stems from the attitudes toward life and aesthetic cognition of the creators and the audience themselves, and has little to do with the medium of presentation. Therefore, a hotel can also become a gallery of unrestrained imagination, just like the Changsha BuBuGao Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.
Just like how one persists in being a pure and transparent rock even when deeply mired in a swamp of evil, we are often confined and enveloped by illusions, unable to distinguish truth from falsehood within a small circle. Yet through rumors and gossip, I see a more real version of you.
So, let me show you this hotel, which might still be unfamiliar to some.
Location and Transportation: The hotel is located at Area A, 1099 Fenglin 3rd Road, Yuelu District, Changsha City. It is 39 km by car from Changsha Huanghua International Airport via the main urban area, 56 km via the Changsha Ring Expressway, 17 km from Changsha Railway Station, and 34 km from Changsha South Railway Station. The hotel is adjacent to the Changsha Ring Expressway, making it convenient for business travelers from other parts of Hunan Province to check in quickly without driving through the often-congested main urban roads of Changsha.
Decoration Style: Like BuBuGao Meixi Lake New World, the Four Points by Sheraton hotel features a Journey to the West cultural theme in its exterior architecture and interior design. Public areas display transparent sculptures of the Flaming Mountain and Sun Wukong (the Monkey King). The lobby's ceiling features a continuous canopy of colorful auspicious clouds, evoking a sense of peace and vastness. Between floors, modern art sculptures and oil paintings are displayed, and the hotel also holds periodic art exhibitions and live artist exchange events.
Guest Room Views: The hotel has over 200 guest rooms and suites, each equipped with full-height floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Star City. The guest rooms are located on floors 15 to 26, and rooms facing BuBuGao Meixi Lake New World are recommended. Standard rooms are 30–40 square meters, with well-designed views and functional zones.
Bath Amenities: Custom ACTIV by Four Points Sheraton, for cleansing skin and hair, with a gentle base, fine texture not sticky.
Sanitary Ware: Full set of Kohler. Shower heats up in 5 seconds, washing away your fatigue.
Bedding and Linens: Linens by Carnation are soft to the touch. The "Four Points Comfort Bed" is a signature of the brand, with the soft and comfortable King Koil mattress ensuring a sweet and sound sleep every night of your journey.
This King Koil mattress features a modular folding layer design, equipped with high-performance springs and a double-M shaped support structure, and carefully selected fabric materials—all for a deep sleep as peaceful as a baby's.
Scientific data says that one-third of our life is spent in bed. So it's perfectly justifiable to make that one-third of life more comfortable.
Smart Devices: There doesn't seem to be any particularly noteworthy smart devices, but I think the aromatherapy diffuser is a small bonus. Though neither high-end nor luxurious, it's a thoughtful little item that helps guests relax and unwind, fitting well with the hotel's business-oriented positioning.
Facilities: On the 3rd floor are the Eatery All-Day Dining Restaurant, Juwei Chinese Restaurant, Fitness Center, Indoor Swimming Pool, and an outdoor garden for guests to rest.
The fitness center is open 24 hours, and professional trainers can create personalized fitness plans. It is equipped with a full set of Matrix Fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, and strength training machines.
Nearby Entertainment: The hotel is actually a supporting facility for BuBuGao Meixi Lake New World. BuBuGao Meixi Lake New World is currently the largest comprehensive commercial complex in Hunan, with a total construction area of 700,000 square meters and a total investment of 7 billion yuan. As China's first pure commercial-tourism-cultural complex, it is positioned as "slow fashion, light vacation." It features a 200,000-square-meter shopping center (Meixi Lake New World), a 750-meter-long comprehensive commercial street (Meixi Street), the largest theme park within a commercial complex in China (Yunding Galaxy Kingdom), and the largest flight experience center in Central South China, among many other unique commercial projects.
In addition to supporting the first international chain hotel in Central South China targeted at family light luxury vacations—the Marriott's BuBuGao Four Points by Sheraton—BuBuGao Meixi Lake New World also includes high-end office buildings and Meixi Apartments designed for urban youth, with a parking garage providing up to 10,000 parking spaces.
Let me tell you a shortcut: From the hotel's B2 underground parking lot, walk 5 minutes to reach BuBuGao Meixi Lake New World and start shopping.
2. No Need to Hide
Cannot leave a home
In the morning, you can enjoy a rich Chinese and Western buffet breakfast at the Eatery All-Day Dining Restaurant to start a beautiful day. In the afternoon, relax in the lobby bar with coffee and pastries. For lunch and dinner, taste authentic Hunan cuisine and refined Cantonese cuisine at Juwei Chinese Restaurant. The Eatery All-Day Dining Restaurant also offers seasonal themed buffet dinners on weekends worth looking forward to.
Recommended at the Eatery's breakfast buffet is the Bailutang Sha Zhu Fen (pork noodle soup), with rich ingredients and hearty broth. I personally think this is an outstanding representative of Changsha's street food culture. Western pastries, Chinese hot dishes, staples, fruits, and drinks are all available.
Juwei Chinese Restaurant: Hunan cuisine mainly consists of three local styles: Xiangjiang River basin, Dongting Lake area, and western Hunan mountainous region. Hunan cuisine is meticulous in preparation, uses a wide range of ingredients, has varied flavors, and many varieties. It emphasizes rich colors and heavy oil, focusing on practicality. Flavors highlight spicy, aromatic, tender, and fresh. Cooking methods include stewing, braising, smoking, steaming, and stir-frying. Hunan cuisine always values the matching of ingredients and the interpenetration of flavors. Spicy and aromatic seasoning is especially important. Due to its geographical location, Hunan has a mild and humid climate, so people enjoy eating chili peppers to refresh and dispel dampness. Stir-frying is also a forte of Hunan cooking.
Hunan's spiciness differs from that of Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Jiangxi. Also due to geography, Cantonese cuisine is quite popular in Hunan.
The decoration style of Juwei Chinese Restaurant is elegant and refined, with dark brown palace tones and enamel porcelain decorations, exuding luxury.
The featured set menus this season are the "Seek Treasure, Seek Spice" duo/quadruple sets.
Joyful Flavors Chopped Chili Fish Head (with plain noodles): This dish is a classic of traditional Hunan steamed cuisine. The fish is fresh and tender, the chopped chili is vibrant and rich in flavor. After eating the fish head, mix the plain noodles in the broth—delicious.
Quick-Fried Eighteen-Cave Yellow Beef: Stir-fried beef is tender, spicy, and appetizing, a perfect companion for rice.
Slow-Cooked Soup: Rich in meat and ingredients, with a clear and fragrant broth. It aims to rival Cantonese soups, warming the heart and stomach, suitable to drink before a meal.
Stir-Fried Seasonal Vegetables: Rare to find a completely non-spicy stir-fry in Hunan. The cabbage is crisp and refreshing.
Scallion Pancake: Soft and fluffy pastry with aromatic scallion flavor. For a staple, choose plain noodles or scallion pancake? I decide to have both.
(Business hours: 11:30–14:00, 17:30–21:00)
Bright red flavored crawfish, sizzling chili peppers, hot temperatures—these are the symbols of summer in Changsha locals' eyes.
The floor-to-ceiling windows of the Eatery All-Day Dining Restaurant look especially beautiful at sunset, and the tones perfectly match the season's freshly arrived crawfish. The crawfish-themed buffet dinner features five types: thirteen-spice, garlic, spiced, iced, and preserved plum. I prefer the classic thirteen-spice crawfish. In terms of value, crawfish lovers can eat enough to get their money's worth in one visit. The special Buddha Jumps Over the Wall (a premium soup) is served one per person, with ample ingredients and a delicious broth. Additionally, the tender and flavorful beef trio is a recommended hot dish. For desserts, I recommend all of them, since I tried every pastry and none disappointed. When dining here, skip bottled drinks and use the manual juicer to squeeze your own orange juice—it's natural and eco-friendly.
The restaurant also has a children's play area, so parents can let their kids have fun while they relax.
I think I will miss the three days and two nights of peace here. This world is noisy, full of misunderstandings, rumors, and disputes—malice from strangers, 'good intentions' from relatives and friends... countless different voices surround us. If you have such experiences, what would you do?
I will still be myself. I just want to be myself. This ambition is not even worth mentioning.
