After reading hundreds of travel notes online,

I painstakingly compiled the best 3-day parent-child itinerary for Greater Changsha!

If you want to travel with kids without getting too tired, it's worth spending more for comfort!

With a slightly bigger budget, hotels closer to attractions, and training your husband to be more helpful with the kids, you can get the best support.

Additionally, as a mom, the most important yet often overlooked thing is to love yourself!

Combine a travel destination you've been longing for with a family trip, and give yourself a mental break!

1. Transportation:

High-speed rail is very convenient. After arriving at Changsha South Station, you can take the subway to various parts of the city. For a parent-child trip, it's best to either take the subway or directly take a taxi. Considering traffic jams and subway peak hours, ride-hailing is the most convenient and really saves energy.

2. Accommodation:

The hottest area in Changsha is undoubtedly 'Wuyi Square' because it's close to Taiping Old Street, IFS, Xiangjiang River views, Orange Isle, and Huogongdian. Popular check-in spots are concentrated, food is everywhere, and the subway is right downstairs, making it very convenient. So for a short trip where you want to eat well and have fun, staying near Wuyi Square is the best choice for saving time and energy while enjoying efficiently.

Regarding hotel options, besides high-star and budget chain hotels, there are many homestays in Changsha, including river-view ones, old street ones, themed rooms, etc., with various price levels.

When traveling with kids, safety and hygiene come first. So choose hotels with good reputation and high hygiene standards. Whether they are unique depends on your needs.

Recommended chain hotels: Atour, Vienna. If budget allows, higher-end options are easy to find.

Homestay type: Changsha Orange Isle First Class Skyline River View Homestay, Miss Snail's Homestay, Huiyou Meisu, Aimole Light Luxury Hotel, etc.

3. Itinerary Planning:

Principle 1: Try not to disrupt daily habits. For example, if you have a habit of napping, arrange rich morning activities, rest in the afternoon, and go out for food and strolls in the evening. This way, you can enjoy yourself without feeling exhausted.

Principle 2: Choose attractions that balance activity and rest. When traveling with kids, consider whether the attraction has places or facilities for kids to burn off energy, and whether there are comfortable resting areas.

Day 1: Hunan Provincial Museum - Afternoon nap - Evening stroll on Old Street, IFS, Wuyi Square

When I was young, I used to visit mountains and rivers.

Now with kids, when visiting a city, I usually go to the museum first.

It's the fastest and most efficient way to understand the city's cultural heritage. The exhibits are novel and interesting, and kids will like them.

While walking, briefly introduce some history or culture to the kids. Cultural creative products are getting better and better, and it's nice to bring some souvenirs.

Moreover, museum facilities are improving. It's easy to take a break, have afternoon tea, or drink juice to refresh.

At the provincial museum, must-see exhibits include the Mawangdui Han Tomb artifacts and Asian Ancient Civilization exhibits. According to guides, the hidden starry sky film and light show are also stunning! You have to see them!

After the afternoon nap, you can stroll around the area: Wuyi Square, IFS, then walk to the old street for food. A perfect relaxing day.

Notably, at IFS, take the elevator to the 92nd floor of the International Finance Center to see Changsha's night view. Climb high and look far, experience a God's perspective. But now too many people go there; try it on non-holidays.

Day 2: Orange Isle - Afternoon nap - Evening at Huogongdian

It's impossible to come to Changsha without hearing about Orange Isle.

Besides seeing the giant statue of Chairman Mao and tracing the great man's historical footprints in Changsha,

what else is there to do on Orange Isle? Let me explain.

Orange Isle is very large with many attractions: Zhu Zhang Ferry, Zhenjiang Pavilion, sculpture groups, Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Gongji Tower, Jiang Temple, and the Sand Park that kids will love!

Orange Isle is big, so take the little train with the kids. You can get on and off once at each stop, convenient and labor-saving!

Also, near the Sand Park, two new amusement projects have been launched this year: amphibious buses and amphibious boats!

When the bus drives into the water, it naturally reminds me of Peppa Pig's family traveling in a camper van, with the navigation saying 'drive into the water, drive into the water,' haha.

New projects, kids will love them. For those who like excitement, choose the amphibious boat!

At popular attractions, don't just check in; fully enjoy the unique features and deeply experience them so you don't waste the trip.

After playing tired, go back for a nap, then go out again at night.

Tonight's choice is to eat various snacks at Huogongdian!

Day 3: Tianxin Pavilion - Super Wenheyou - Afternoon nap - Yuelu Academy - Overnight at Yuelu Mountain

Tianxin Pavilion is a city gate tower of ancient Changsha. For those who like history and culture, it's a must-visit.

It's not big. After a leisurely visit, go to Changsha Super Wenheyou to check in, feel the charm of the head store of Hunan food culture.

Eat and stroll, then go back to rest.

At noon, experience the traces of the 80s and Changsha cuisine at Wenheyou.

Afternoon itinerary is Yuelu Academy. A popular scenic spot with cultural atmosphere, absolutely not to be missed.

Note: You need to make a reservation in advance. Tickets are 40 yuan, with discounted tickets for seniors and children.

Today's highlight is staying at a homestay on Yuelu Mountain.

There is only one homestay on Yuelu Mountain, with a unique location and natural comfortable environment, a great way for city dwellers to relax.

And you can better experience Yuelu Mountain, not just when it's crowded with tourists, but also at dawn and dusk.

Traveling with kids means slowly enjoying attractions with rich experiences for more comfort.

The homestay's online photos and guest reviews are good. I'll explain more after my visit.

Moreover, as night falls, you can overlook Changsha's night view from afar, a rare experience.

Day 4: Yuelu Mountain Aiwan Pavilion - Cable car down the mountain - Return trip

Living in the mountains, no need to rush.

Sleep in naturally, have breakfast, then leisurely wander in the mountains.

The happy and rich three-and-a-half-day trip ends~~

The grand Changsha trip has covered all the most popular attractions~

And experienced the most unique and in-depth wonderful experiences~
