My First Experience at Changsha Ecological Zoo
Yesterday I took my child to Changsha Ecological Zoo. Since it was our first time and we weren't familiar, we only bought the ticket for the walking and drive-through areas for 75 yuan at the ticket office, and then at the Polar Pavilion we bought another ticket for 80 yuan. Thinking back, if you have more time, the all-inclusive ticket for 180 yuan is more cost-effective, as it includes other attractions. At first, we didn't plan to go to those, but when we saw them from outside, they looked very appealing. Unfortunately, we didn't have the all-inclusive ticket, and buying separate tickets for them would not have been worthwhile.
In the drive-through area, we took a bus to see the animals. First we saw carnivores. Each time we entered a new animal zone, a large gate would open, giving a mysterious feeling. Then we saw herbivores. Overall, there was a rich variety of animals to see, including tigers, lions, bears, zebras, camels, giraffes, ostriches, yaks, and so on. Sitting on the left side of the bus seemed to allow for more animal photos.
When the drive-through area reached the Polar Pavilion, you could choose to get off. On the first floor and the basement, there were animals to see: penguins, Arctic foxes, jellyfish, sharks, etc. The Snow and Ice World was for playing in the snow, with no animals, and you had to rent padded coats and socks, so we didn't go.
After leaving the Polar Pavilion, we walked up a slope to an area with attractions like the Forest Theater. Since we didn't have the all-inclusive ticket, we chose to go to the walking area, where we saw monkeys, orangutans, giant pandas, tigers, leopards, and other animals. Then we reached the exit.
A reminder: not far from the exit, there is a large fountain pool with a warning sign that the fountain may have electrical leakage, advising people not to approach and play in the water. I've seen news reports of injuries and deaths caused by fountain electrical leaks, so it's better to be careful and avoid playing in the fountain water.
