Bangchuidao (Stick Island) is located on the eastern section of Dalian's Binhai Road. It is a scenic area mainly featuring mountains, sea, islands, and beaches.

The famous Bangchuidao State Guesthouse is located here, where national leaders such as Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Liu Shaoqi, Ye Jianying, and later Hua Guofeng, Hu Yaobang, Deng Xiaoping, and Jiang Zemin have stayed.

Binhai Road starts at Haizhiyun Square in the east and ends at Xinghai Square in the west, with a total length of 32 kilometers. On one side are rolling mountains covered with lush trees; on the other side is the vast sea merging with the sky. Scenery changes with the seasons.

【Binhai Road Hiking Guide】The hiking route along Binhai Road is mainly divided into four sections: Xinghai Square to Fujiazhuang, Fujiazhuang to Laohutan (Tiger Beach), Laohutan to Bangchuidao, and Bangchuidao to Haizhiyun (Haizhiyun requires a ticket). The most common route is Xinghai Square – Fujiazhuang – Hutao Amusement Park, about 10 kilometers. I recommend hiking if you have the energy and time; it's the best way to enjoy Binhai Road. Walking on the wooden plank road, you'll enjoy the scenery along the way, feel the sea breeze, and fully experience a leisurely feeling. The best route is from Xinghai Square to Laohutan, with beautiful scenery, about 10 km, can be hiked in 3 hours. Note: There are no buses on the first part of Binhai Road; buses 541 and 702 start only from the second phase of the zoo. So please arrange your itinerary according to your physical condition.

After finishing the eastern section of Binhai Road, we arrived at Laohutan Fisherman's Wharf area, which has a bit of commercial atmosphere. We had lunch there.

Due to time constraints, we ended our hike around Yanwoling. Roughly estimated, we walked nearly 15 kilometers today. That's enough!

Our flight was in the evening, so we made a quick trip to Xiao Jiuzhou again. Had to enjoy it one more time!
