My first visit to Dalian Sun Asia Ocean World.

First stop: Coral Hall, to see corals, shells, little fish, and shrimp.

A fish that looks a lot like a pig's nose.

The famous living fossil, the nautilus.

Second hall: Ocean World.

There is a fairly long underwater tunnel. When we entered this hall, it was already past 10 a.m., and the number of people was increasing. The tunnel was very crowded, making it impossible to take good photos. Besides, there were only artificial light sources and glass barriers. Anyway, my skills are limited, so I couldn't get any decent shots.

There were many marine animals, some known by name, some unknown, big and small.

A sea turtle with a very stern expression.

A mother shark leading her baby shark as they watched the humans.

This hall has a dolphin show, roughly one performance per hour. The show was quite good.

My camera lens wasn't long enough to capture clear images. If you have the opportunity, go see it in person. Although the performance is similar to what you see on TV, the feeling of watching it live is different.

Actually, there was a dolphin that jumped even higher, but I didn't manage to capture it—it jumped too suddenly.

Third hall: Polar Region Hall.

In truth, the large animals in the Polar Region Hall seemed a bit anxious and melancholic. One reason is their living space is very small; another is the large number of people watching them.

This polar bear clearly looked unhappy. Sigh—it was so thin, constantly pacing around this pillar.

A massive creature, now confined to this small, square enclosure, with its every action—eating, drinking, eliminating—being watched.

It is said that this is the largest polar bear in an Asian polar region hall, named "Kaka."

Penguins are probably the most carefree animals in comparison. When idle, they sit as still as if in deep meditation, making you think they are just statues. But if you take out a red banknote, they will chase after you around the whole area.

It is said that initially, there were only two penguins in this hall; all the rest are their descendants.

Inbreeding—I wonder if it affects their intelligence.

Let's go to the next hall to watch the seal and sea lion show.

Well, a reminder: try not to buy the snacks in the halls—they are both expensive and unpalatable!

The bus stop is very close to Sun Asia.
