National Key Scenic Area, National Geopark—Taimu Mountain, is located in Fuding City, Fujian Province, on the border of Fujian and Zhejiang. It is 118 kilometers north of Wenzhou, Zhejiang, and 200 kilometers south of Fuzhou, Fujian. Standing majestically on the coast of the East China Sea, with mountains and sea embracing each other, it is renowned for its “Grand View of Mountains and Sea.” Legend has it that immortals from the East China Sea often gather here, earning it the reputation of “Fairy Capital on the Sea.” To the north is Yandang Mountain in Zhejiang, and to the west is Wuyi Mountain in Fujian—these three form a tripod. People in Fujian call Wuyi and Taimu the “Two Uniques,” while people in Zhejiang regard Yandang and Taimu as brothers, together forming the three famous mountains of Fujian and Zhejiang.
With the rapid development of high-speed rail, many places across the country now have bullet trains to Taimu Mountain.
After taking a bullet train to Taimu Mountain Railway Station, walk straight for about 100 meters after exiting the station. Directly opposite the exit, there is a bus to the Taimu Mountain Scenic Area Distribution Center. The fare is 5 yuan per person, and it supports WeChat Pay, Alipay, and cash. Moreover, after each bullet train arrives at Taimu Mountain, buses depart promptly for the scenic area. What are you waiting for? Hop on the high-speed train and come to Taimu Mountain!
At the Taimu Mountain Scenic Area Distribution Center, purchase tickets (full price 130 yuan, half price 65 yuan, scenic area bus ticket 40 yuan).
1. If you have a student ID, bring it for a half-price discount!
2. It is best to bring water and dry food before going up the mountain!
3. When climbing, remember to bring sunscreen and insect repellent!
4. All visitors must take the bus from the distribution center to Taimu Mountain Scenic Area. First bus: 6:30 AM; last bus: winter and summer 19:00, spring and autumn 19:30. Please note the times.
