What impressed me most was the rice field tug-of-war competition. Tourists participated, standing on the straw-covered farmland. They took their positions, and at the sound of the whistle, everyone exerted their maximum strength. In the end, one side won the competition and received prize vouchers.

You can also observe and experience some farming tools up close.

At the event site, the agricultural products street was packed with people. Coming here, you can not only see the thousand-mu terraced fields but also taste and buy locally grown agricultural products. There were grapes, chestnuts, sweet potatoes, taro, edamame, various fruits, rice, and other products. After the harvest festival opening ceremony, everyone rushed to the agricultural products street. I tried the local grapes – they were really sweet – and decisively bought a box to take home.

There are many kinds of fruits in the market, but few people have seen this 'August melon' (bayuegua). August melon is considered a high-priced fruit. Rural elders often say, 'August melon, bursts in September, picked in October to coax the children.' Many people don't know what August melon is. In fact, August melon is also called 'September burst' (jiuyuezha) because it matures in August and September, and when ripe, it naturally splits open with a large gap, so some call it September burst.
