Siyu Islands, the 'Zelda' on the Sea
Zelda on the Sea: A Two-Day One-Night Trip from Wenzhou to Siyu Islands
[Departure: Wenzhou to Sansha Harbor]
At 6:30 AM, four friends departed from Wenzhou and drove to Sansha Harbor to board the ferry (about 2.5 hours). After arriving, the scheduled 9:00 AM ferry departed on time (ticket 288 RMB/person round trip, journey about 1 hour 10 minutes). The ferry frequency is limited, so be sure to book tickets in advance.
[Arriving at Beishuang Island: Check-in at Guesthouse]
We arrived at Beishuang Island around 10:10 AM. There was a guesthouse shuttle at the dock (or a 10-minute walk). We stayed at Haifeng Guesthouse (4.9 rating), which has large rooms and a rooftop terrace facing the sea. The guesthouse offers free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, and 24-hour front desk service. The owner also runs a seafood restaurant next door, making dining convenient.
After a short rest in the afternoon, we took an electric sightseeing buggy (20 RMB/person) for an island tour. Beishuang Island has a strong fishing village vibe, with scattered beaches, rocks, and stone houses. At Beiao Beach, when the tide rises, swimming is also pleasant.
In the evening, we watched a stunning sunset at Kemen Village, with a gentle sea breeze and the sunset dyeing the entire sea area red.
[Dinner: Seafood Feast]
The guesthouse's seafood was fresh and simply prepared, costing about 50 RMB per person. After dinner, we enjoyed the sea breeze and took photos on the guesthouse lawn. The night was quiet, with only the sound of waves.
[Day 2: Island-Hopping to Dongshuang Island, Meeting 'Zelda']
We woke up at 4:30 AM and took the electric sightseeing buggy (30 RMB for the sunrise trip) to the back mountain of Beishuang Island to watch the sunrise over the sea from the eastern rocks.
After breakfast, we strolled to Nanao Pier, bought tickets, and took a speedboat to Dongshuang Island departing at 9:00 AM (198 RMB/person round trip, journey about 15 minutes).
Dongshuang Island is the highlight of the Siyu Islands, with cliffs, meadows, black rock gates, Lion Peak, Emperor's Hat, and other landscapes that look like scenes from the game 'The Legend of Zelda.' We hiked along the island's circular trail, taking wide-angle photos from the edge of the cliffs. With blue sky, white clouds, sea, and meadows, every moment produced stunning shots.
On the way, we passed by Bird Island and saw thousands of birds flying in the sky.
At noon, we returned to Beishuang Island, had lunch and rested at the guesthouse, then took the 5:00 PM ferry back. We arrived at Sansha Harbor at 6:10 PM and reached Wenzhou South Service Area at 8:00 PM.

The Siyu Islands, with few people and beautiful scenery, can be called the Fujian version of 'Zelda.' Two days and one night is just right!
Having visited many islands, such as Dongji Island, Dongshan Island, Beiji Island, and Yushan Island, the most beautiful uninhabited island is Dongshuang Island. Having traveled through and seen so many islands, I also understand the importance of inheriting and promoting marine culture, island history, and folk customs. Through tourism, more people can learn about and experience the unique island culture, fostering cultural export and exchange.
