Crown Emperor Honeycomb Egg Rolls and Michelin Palmiers Awarded the 'Nobel Prize of Food Industry' Gold Prize
Monde Selection (World Food Quality Evaluation Award), since 1961, has been analyzing and evaluating the quality of numerous consumer products and awarding them a unique label. Each year, the jury evaluates thousands of products from around the world. Over 70 renowned judges review aspects such as taste, packaging, and raw materials, then assign different levels of quality awards. It is a highly prestigious award on the international stage, known as the 'Nobel Prize of the Food Industry.'
In the 2020 selection, Hong Kong's Crown Emperor Lava Mooncakes won the Grand Gold award for two consecutive years. Additionally, the Honeycomb Egg Rolls, Michelin Palmiers, and Tang Pastries, all participating for the first time, each received a Gold award, earning unanimous recognition from the Monde Selection jury.
None of this came easily. Master Pastry Chef Yip Wing Wah of Crown Emperor and two-Michelin-starred Pastry Master Lai Wing Koon meticulously studied pastry techniques, carefully selected natural ingredients, and continuously innovated. They developed twelve flavors each of Honeycomb Egg Rolls and Michelin Palmiers, aiming to provide diners with a comfortable and natural culinary experience.
