Traveling with the Little One: Hong Kong
Because my kid has been deeply obsessed with Elsa lately, Disneyland was put on the schedule. But since she's just over 1.1 meters tall, many fun rides at Shanghai Disneyland are off-limits for her. So, taking advantage of Brother Quan's business trip, we brought her along to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Day 1: Beijing - Shenzhen
Hotel: Shenzhen Milton Boutique Hotel (Honglang North Metro Station Branch)
Attraction: Shenzhen OCT Harbour
Because Brother Quan was busy with work in the afternoon and had no time for us, we took the metro straight to OCT Harbour. We saw a Minions exhibition and also had a meal at the Hello Kitty restaurant.
Day 2: Shenzhen - Hong Kong
Route: Honglang North Metro Station → Shenzhen North Station → Hong Kong West Kowloon (Enter via Austin F Exit) → Tuen Ma Line (Get off at Nam Cheong, transfer within the same station to Tung Chung Line towards Sunny Bay) → Tung Chung Line (Get off at Sunny Bay, transfer within the same station to Disneyland Resort Line) → Disneyland Resort Line (Exit A)
Shenzhen North Station to Hong Kong West Kowloon: high-speed train, 19 minutes, second class 75 RMB per person.
Attraction: Hong Kong Disneyland
We didn't stay overnight in Hong Kong. We took the high-speed train directly from Shenzhen to West Kowloon, which made entering Hong Kong very convenient. I had studied the strategy in advance, but once we got in, we didn't follow it because the rides recommended in the strategy were too scary for my kid. So we split up: Brother Quan took our daughter on rides she dared to try, while I went to experience the thrilling ones. Hong Kong Disneyland is not big, and there are far fewer people than at Shanghai Disneyland, so one day was more than enough.
Day 3: Shenzhen - Hong Kong
Attraction: Hong Kong Science Museum
Because my kid and I had applied for two-entry visas, I brought her to Hong Kong alone again the next day. The roads in Hong Kong are really confusing, and I couldn't figure out the bus routes with her, so we ended up taking a lot of detours.
Day 4: Shenzhen - Beijing
