“Come on, I'll take care of you” Filming Location of The King of Comedy – Shek O, Hong Kong
In the early autumn of 2018, my friends and I set off on a trip to Shek O, Hong Kong. Because we had just experienced a typhoon, many of the outdoor filming locations in the Shek O fishing village were destroyed, but I still miss this small fishing village, just as we have never forgotten 'The King of Comedy'.
We took the high-speed rail from Shenzhen to West Kowloon, then the MTR to Shau Kei Wan, and then transferred to Bus No. 9 to reach Shek O. The rain-washed Shek O – as soon as we got off the bus, we could feel the salty fragrance of the sea breeze. I really like this small Hong Kong village with its colorful houses, instantly lifting my mood! There are also many characteristic tea shops and restaurants in the village. When you get tired, sit down and rest, and try some of the local snacks of this Hong Kong fishing village – it's quite nice too.

Walking along the streets, besides the local residents, most of the people here are tourists who came because of the movie. Of course, that's all thanks to Stephen Chow's film 'The King of Comedy'. His line 'I'll take care of you!' struck a chord in countless people's hearts. And the most famous tree has also become a must-visit spot to mark the filming location of 'The King of Comedy'.

After watching the documentary in 'Women at 30+' where Cecilia Cheung returns to Shek O, she said, 'There's nothing here to take away, only memories.' She was only 19 back then, and now she is a mother. I like her current attitude towards life even more: '38-year-old Cecilia Cheung, very happy; 38-year-old Cecilia Cheung, very satisfied.' I really like a line from the movie: 'Look, ahead is pitch black, can't see anything.' 'Not really, it will be beautiful after dawn.'
