Quick Look! Christmas Travel Routes and Souvenirs in Hong Kong
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are just around the corner, and Hong Kong's Christmas atmosphere is getting stronger. Major shopping malls have set up large Christmas trees and are hosting Christmas-themed events, while major brands have launched Christmas series products~
「West Kowloon Cultural District」We took the high-speed rail to West Kowloon Station, exited via D1, walked through the mall and across the footbridge to the M+ Museum, where we saw a giant Christmas tree next to Victoria Harbour. Balloons, the seaside, sunset, and more come together for photos – every frame is stunning. According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board, on December 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, and 26, 2023, from 8:00 to 8:10 pm, Christmas fireworks will be set off on the sea surface near the seaside promenade of the Art Park in the West Kowloon Cultural District, adding a romantic festive touch~
Take the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui East Station, exit L3, and walk to 「The Peninsula Hong Kong」. This year, the combination design wall of The Peninsula × CHANEL gives a different feeling by day and night. During the day, the black and white pearls and bows look very elegant and minimalist, with a European-American style; at night, it becomes more gorgeous and dazzling under the lights.
Walk 2 minutes to the heritage site 1881 Heritage, formerly the Marine Police Headquarters. This year, it features a palace-themed 「1881 Christmas Castle」. The huge blue castle is already stunning from the outside, and inside it is filled with a variety of flowers, like a classical Victorian-style greenhouse rose glass house.
Walk another 5 minutes or so to 「K11 MUSEA」, where you'll find Dior's Christmas Dreamland, a 15-meter-high sparkling Christmas tree and a carousel. If you want to take a panoramic shot, you can go to the third floor of K11. The lights of the Victoria Harbour skyline make the Christmas tree shine brilliantly.
Christmas is almost here~「Hong Kong Yat Tung」(香港皇玥)is a local Hong Kong brand, endorsed by Louis Koo. This year, it has launched a new series of Christmas tree gift boxes in red and green with a stylish design, full of Christmas spirit. The highlight is a buy-3-get-1-free offer! Their Christmas series includes 4 gift boxes, all containing their signature products such as butterfly crisps, egg rolls, and crispy cookies. This year, they have specially developed a Christmas tree-shaped matcha cookie. I bought a few boxes back home as Hong Kong specialties for my good friends~
「GOD住好啲」, which in Chinese means 'live better' and also implies 'make life more beautiful', is a local Hong Kong creative brand that incorporates local culture into daily necessities. It is a store selling old-style unique household furniture. Now it has expanded to clothing, stationery, and lifestyle products. Each product has its own style, quirky and fun, hard to find elsewhere. It's a great choice as a Hong Kong souvenir for friends~
