Attentive, caring, safe and professional — the best hotel. My baby was six months old and my husband was very busy. After all, we’d come all the way from the south to Jishan, Shanxi, to earn a living! My husband works as a laborer on a construction site, and he’s at the site all day while I look after the baby. As the baby gets older and less obedient, we argued about discipline, and in a fit of anger I took the baby and ‘ran away from home.’ Where could a woman from out of town with a baby go? As night fell, I needed to find a hotel to stay. I didn’t have my ID card and only had 200 yuan in my pocket. What could I do? Without realizing it, I walked to a park nearby: there was a Hongda Youpin Meisu Hotel, which looked secure and quite proper. I went in to ask the price. There were a man and a woman at the front desk. After hearing the rate, I nearly burst into tears: the room was 178 yuan, 150 for members, but I only had 200. What if the baby needed something? What would I do? There was nothing I could do! I sat down by the roadside and wept. Then the lady from the front desk came out and asked: ‘Our boss sees you’re a young woman from out of town with a baby, that must be hard. Would you accept the member price?’ To be honest, my eyes were moist. Back at the front desk, the boss asked: ‘Is there anything else I can help you with?’ At that moment, with this city scene around me, I couldn’t hold back tears. The boss warmly arranged a room for me! The lady at the front desk also reminded me: ‘Do you need any other help? Like a bottle, formula, diapers, anything?’ I can’t express how I felt, only tears welled up in my eyes. That night, with the hotel’s help, my husband and a neighbor found me. The next morning at breakfast, I saw the boss greeting my husband warmly again, and they provided a baby chair. Even though I can’t do much for the hotel, I truly want to praise it from my heart. Maybe it will move many people, and maybe more will receive such help! The hotel’s service mindset speaks volumes about the boss’s character and vision. Thumbs up!
