Clean, hygienic, great value, and with the best service—the professional hotel closest to the Yunqiu Mountain scenic area!

In Xi'an, a few families were casually chatting: "Let's just take a spontaneous trip!" Where to? A quick Baidu search and we decided on the Yunqiu Mountain frozen scenic area in Shanxi! On the drive there, my husband suggested I book a hotel first. Yunqiu Mountain belongs to Xiangning County, Shanxi, but Jishan County in Shanxi is actually the closest. I searched on eLong and the one that caught my eye was "Jishan Hongda Youpin Meisu Hotel"—it looked like a chain hotel. The rates were reasonable and very cheap, so I called to reserve a room, just in case booking online would lead to regrets! Upon arrival, we went to check out the room to see if it matched the website. The front desk warmly greeted us and opened the door, reminding us to park in the designated spot (we were actually thinking: if the room isn't good, we'll just get back in the car and leave). The man who showed us the room was about 30 or 40, very upright, clearly with military training, dressed in a white top and blue bottom, standing ramrod straight. The room was even better than the photos online, exactly what I had imagined. After registering one by one, the gentleman helped us carry our six large suitcases to the room and told us the Wi-Fi username and password!

It was getting dark, so we washed up and prepared to go out for dinner. Down to the first floor, the straight-backed gentleman asked: "Are you ready for dinner?" "Yes, we're just wondering where to go!" He pointed our attention to the "boss's recommendation board": it detailed where to go for stir-fried dishes, with exact directions; where to go for hot pot, how to get there, which traffic light to turn left or right at—all laid out clearly. How to enjoy local cuisine, where to go, which place is authentic! A small sign that could be this clear—you could tell it was made with care! In just a few words, we started chatting with the man; turns out he's the hotel owner! Haha! Even after we finished dinner, the boss was still standing there waiting for us, asking how the recommended place was, whether we got a discount, if we thought it was good value. Smiling happily, we said goodbye and went to rest. Such a thoughtful person!

To thank this attentive, dedicated boss, I'm giving him and the hotel a five-star review! When we left, the boss also guided us on how to quickly get onto the expressway.

Goodbye, boss! Until we meet again!
