International Museum Day | Explore the Charm of Art at Fotografiska New York, the Global Home of Photography
The renowned Fotografiska Stockholm has opened its latest exhibition branch in New York's Flatiron District. This International Museum Day, take The New York Pass to Fotografiska New York to explore the works of world-renowned photographers and emerging talents, using the power of photography to inspire a more conscious world.
Located in a historic landmark building in the Flatiron District, Fotografiska New York opened in late 2019, becoming a new destination showcasing works by some of the most famous photographers and rising stars from around the world. Compared to quiet traditional museums, the biggest difference of this exhibition hall is its lively atmosphere. With five floors of photography accompanied by music, the space instantly comes to life, giving visitors a different mood and experience.

The exhibitions here feature works by the world's finest photographers, such as Annie Liebowitz, Ren Yang, Albert Watson, David LaChapelle, and other renowned industry figures. The themes cover abstract, landscape, portrait, documentary, etc., narrating the ever-changing present world.

BLACK VENUS

Curated by Aindrea Emelife, this exhibition is based on the theme of the Hottentot Venus. From colonial-era caricatures to the rich and complex reimaginings of Black women by 19 contemporary artists, it celebrates Black beauty and explores the influence of Black women on visual culture.
James Nachtwey Memoria
Exhibition period: May 6 to August 14

James Nachtwey is one of the most widely known and respected war photographers in the world today. With keen insight, his career is dedicated to documenting war, conflict, and critical social issues. His footsteps have traversed the world's battlefields at the end of the twentieth century. Each photograph in this exhibition is a fragment of memory, recording the true history that Nachtwey has experienced.
László Moholy-Nagy Light Play
Exhibition period: March 18 to June 5

This exhibition brings together 68 works created between 1922 and 1945 by American photographer and artist László Moholy-Nagy, including his earliest photomontages (which he called 'photoplastics'); photograms (images made by direct exposure on photosensitive paper without a camera); personal photographs taken during his travels in Europe and America; color photographs from his later career (rare images of himself, as well as never-before-exhibited photographs of his sculptures); and two films.
Ethan James Green Made To Last

Young American photographer Ethan James Green is dedicated to creating enduring works. This exhibition includes a collection of 20 images from 2016 to the present. From his early works to now, Green's photography has evolved from documenting intimate circles (often in the park near his former Grand Street apartment) to covers of Vogue, Vanity Fair, and other international publications.
