Heyuan Practical Travel Guide: Once You Come, You'll Want to Come Again!
I always thought Heyuan was far away, but actually it's only a two-hour drive from Guangzhou. Heyuan Bavaria Manor is a place I've been wanting to visit for a long time. For the third stop of this New Year, I chose it as my travel destination!
Undoubtedly, the Four Points by Sheraton Heyuan Bavaria Manor Resort Hotel was my first choice. Not only has my husband praised this hotel multiple times for how excellent it is, but just from the occupancy rate, it was already my unbeatable choice!
As a 'highly relaxing natural resort hotel,' the Four Points by Sheraton Heyuan Bavaria Manor Resort Hotel has won countless fans. Located at the center of the manor, it occupies the most advantageous position. Before arriving at the hotel, you pass through several major scenic areas of the manor. Hmm, it seems that two days and one night are not nearly enough to enjoy everything!
Stepping through the door of the Four Points by Sheraton Heyuan Bavaria Manor Resort Hotel, you are greeted by two parrots shouting 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' (Happy New Year). A good omen for the new year—the 'treasure of the store' should not be underestimated. Looking up, you see the magnificent hotel lobby, with opulent marble and elegant European-style staircases. On the right is the reception area, where a mini carousel is very eye-catching. My baby got so excited that he rushed over and hugged the carousel horse tightly.
This time we stayed in the Private Hot Spring Deluxe Lake View Room. The room is spacious, about 60 square meters, with a private hot spring pool, which is private and comfortable—superb! I really like the lake-view terrace, where you can overlook the lake and the Hakka Tulou (earthen buildings). Yes, here you not only have European-style rooms but also unique Hakka Tulou-style rooms. Between this East-meets-West blend, you can freely choose your favorite.
Once here, you must enjoy the hot spring pools to the fullest. I brought my own rose petals, which paired perfectly with this hot spring. The hot spring water is especially nourishing for the skin, and my baby particularly loves soaking in the hot springs!
The hotel's children's play area is huge and has many activities. Parents who want to free their hands can bring their babies here. In a child's world, happiness is simple—a slide can bring joy for quite a while!
The hotel also provides electric carts to take us around the entire complex. The Black Forest Amusement Park, Fuyuan Temple, and the Chinese Medicine Hot Springs are all just a few minutes away. With so many fun activities, I wonder where to go first!
Heyuan Bavaria Manor has many popular photo spots. For the first stop, I took my baby to the Black Forest Amusement Park!
This is a well-known family-friendly amusement park. As soon as you enter, the rainbow slide awaits you. After playing, my baby was deeply attracted by the sparkling Happy World, which features children's rides such as Frog Jump, Dream Carousel, Bumper Cars, Ball Pit, Mountain Climbing Car, Little Train, Space Speed, and Elevated Pedal Bike. My baby had a great time, and here all rides are unlimited—no need to worry about the pressure on your wallet!
If you want to overlook the entire manor, take the forest cable car. The scenery along the way is panoramic, and the feeling of looking down from above is especially great! The manor's scenery is unique, with all the colors of a rainbow, instantly stirring your childlike heart.
At the top of the mountain, there is a large platform where you must check out the Rotating Disco, Hurricane Chair, and the Skywalk Roller Coaster! Especially the Skywalk Roller Coaster, where you can experience the thrill of walking in the air, and it's incredibly photogenic! My baby was also very brave, completing the entire walk without any fear—amazing!
In the evening, you can soak in the Chinese Medicine Hot Springs. The various hot spring pools have just the right temperature, with traditional Chinese medicine as the prescription and the hot spring as the medium. According to the 'Five Elements' (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth) theory, the design is both grand and comfortable, relieving all your fatigue from the day.
The design of the manor is quite distinctive, offering a truly one-stop vacation experience. In addition to the paid amusement park and hot springs, there are also free attractions like the Internet-famous bridge and Mai Lang Flower Valley to explore. It truly offers something for every budget, with great value for money!
Food is of course the core topic of any trip. The Jia Yuan Chinese Restaurant at the Four Points by Sheraton Heyuan Bavaria Manor Resort Hotel can satisfy your pursuit of Hakka cuisine. The decoration is elegant and grand, the seats are spacious and comfortable, and the service is warm and attentive, reflecting the hospitality of the Hakka people.
We ordered the Mushroom and Meat Broth, Four Points Crystal Chicken, Wasabi Shrimp Balls, Hakka Pan-Fried Stuffed Tofu, and Steamed Wanlu Flower Carving Fish, among others.
When visiting Hakka areas, chicken and tofu are must-eat delicacies. Take the world-famous Hakka stuffed tofu—fragrant and smooth. Heyuan is also famous for the fresh aquatic products from Wanlu Lake. A steamed Wanlu Flower Carving Fish brings out the freshness to the extreme; it's what they call 'so fresh it makes your eyebrows drop.'
Two days and one night felt completely insufficient at Heyuan Bavaria Manor. If you stay for three days and two nights, you can also visit Fuyuan Temple. Take your baby to the hydroponic vegetable base to see and buy some of the freshest greens. And the time spent at the Four Points by Sheraton Heyuan Bavaria Manor Resort Hotel was truly joyful, lazy, and relaxing—watching the clouds drift and listening to the birds chirp—it was so wonderful! I set a goal: I must come again next year!
