Perfect End of Summer Vacation at Chunmuyuan! Second Visit to Guangdong’s Top Family Destination
When Holiday learned he had only one week before school starts, he frowned and complained he hadn’t played enough. But recently, it’s been raining intermittently in Guangdong, and I had no idea where to go… Suddenly, I remembered Chunmuyuan Town, which I had bookmarked on Xiaohongshu for a long time. We set off the next day, and once there, I realized no preparation was needed! This little town offers truly one-stop fun—every kind of activity you can imagine!
Green Apple Lawn - designed by master architect Tadao Ando himself
Lakeside Cafe - order a coffee and relax
Hot springs / Infinity pool - highly recommended! Stunning views, plus you can watch performances on the square
Photo spots everywhere! Great for producing amazing photos.
Activities:
Cherry Tomato Festival - tomato decorations throughout the park, tomato market, tomato magic show, etc.
Dinosaur Island Water Park - super attractive! Big slides and water sprayers, with shaded areas for adults to wait without getting hot, and lifeguards constantly reminding you to be careful. Truly hands-free kid fun.
Dragon Bone Park - non-motorized water play area, trampolines, large slides, and even little ducks strolling leisurely.
Golf Club - indoor golf course where you can sweat it out while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Boat / Kayak - highly recommended! The scenery is gorgeous!
Hot springs / Infinity pool / Lakeside beach - 7 hot spring pools, 1 indoor pool—all along the lake, super convenient!
Recreation Center - play here when it’s too hot, with ball pit, karaoke, billiards, and other leisure activities.
Valley Park - off-road vehicles, horseback riding, cute pet park, archery. Even on rainy days, you won’t have nothing to do—the activities are incredibly rich!
It rained the first evening, and I thought the bonfire party would be canceled, which was a pity. But immediately replaced by a magic show and concert! The social butterfly Holiday went on stage and had a blast with the magician. We sat together, listening to folk music, and ended the perfect day with fireworks.
Breakfast buffet - many options.
Food street area - Western, Chinese, izakaya, bar, etc., diverse choices.
Our two families stayed at the Blue Grape duplex three-bedroom, one living room with a small balcony. The rooms were new, comfortable, and clean. Thoughtful service: they confirmed our license plate the day before, and we checked in directly the next day. At registration, they carefully explained the rules and introduced the map and location. They set up a butler group chat; housekeeper Xiao Lan responded immediately to inform us of the day’s activities and any questions or needs. The attractions are somewhat spread out, but there are shuttle buses; we managed to catch them on the way back.
Sharing our 2-day, 1-night itinerary:
Day 1: Hotel check-in → Cherry Tomato Festival → Green Apple Lawn photo stop → Dinosaur Island Water Park → Kayaking → Magic show → Concert → Fireworks
Day 2: Dragon Bone Park → Infinity pool → Hot springs → Valley Park
If it’s your first time, you can follow my itinerary! I recommend preparing for 3 days—seriously, it’s not enough to experience everything! I strongly recommend this place for family trips! On the way back, I’ve already planned to come again for the Mid-Autumn Festival!
