Liuzhou Yufeng Mountain – A New Place to Release Stress

Yufeng Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, located on Yufeng Road in Liuzhou. The park features the solitary Lizard Peak, rising 88 meters high; climbing 392 stone steps along the winding path from the foot leads to the summit. From the top, looking north, you can see the green river water, six bridges, towering buildings, and bustling traffic, taking in the full view of 'Hu City'.

Yufeng Mountain is covered with green trees, with pavilions and towers set off against each other. Seven caves interconnect, and stone tablets and carvings are everywhere.

On the mountain, there are Cuisong Pavilion, Guanshan Pavilion, and Guanmei Pavilion. Halfway up, there is a cliff carving with four characters 'Liujiang Dizhu' (Pillar of the Liujiang River).

Inside the mountain, there are seven caves: Qingliang Guo, Jade Cave, Pangu Cave, Chunyang Cave, Yinfeng Cave, Zhongsi Rock, and Sanjie Rock, all connected to each other. Within the caves, there are over 60 stone carvings from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties praising Lizard Peak. In Jade Cave, a huge stalactite weighing a thousand jin hangs in the air; the cave walls are crystal clear and white as jade. On the top of the cave wall, there is a stone carving 'Xiwang Dongtian', which is truly unique.

At the foot of the mountain lies a small dragon pool, also called 'South Pool'. Its water connects with the Liujiang River, rising and falling together, earning it the name 'Spirit Spring'.

The small dragon pool is connected to Yufeng Mountain, with beautiful reflections of the mountain in the pool. Viewed from the southeast shore of the pool, Yufeng Mountain resembles a carp leaping out of the water. For this reason, the gardening department placed a carp sculpture in the pool, named 'South Pool Carp Leaping'. This sculpture is one of Liuzhou's eight scenic spots.
