Sanjiang Town, only 100 km from Chengdu, is located in the southern part of Wenchuan County, in the heart of the Wolong Ecological Nature Reserve, and is a key attraction of the national 5A-level Wenchuan Special Tourism Area.

Surrounded by mountains with layered green peaks, three rivers (Zhonghe, Xihe, and Heishijiang) encircle the town, converging and flowing away—hence the name Sanjiang (Three Rivers)!

The three rivers merge, the valley is deep and the gorge is secluded, and above the river, the scenery is splendid! Here you'll find a mild climate, dense primeval forests, emerald green mountains, crystal-clear river water...

This excellent ecological environment has made Sanjiang Town a famous "natural oxygen bar" in western Sichuan!

The forest here releases 1,500 tons of oxygen daily; the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the air reaches 1.5 million per cubic centimeter—10,000 times higher than in Chengdu! The bacterial count in the air is 150 to 70,000 times lower than in Chengdu; the dust content is 100 to 1,000 times lower than in Chengdu; and the noise level is 30 to 50 decibels lower than in Chengdu.

Every summer, an endless stream of visitors comes here to escape the heat. Many elderly people from Sichuan say they have been coming here for ten consecutive years to spend the summer. How can such a healthy pure land not make one fall in love with it?

/ Sanjiang Qishan Health Resort Tourism /

Qishan Village in Sanjiang Town, close to the Sanjiang Ecological Tourism Area, boasts beautiful mountains and clear waters, with unique tourism resources. As a "characteristic tourism village" led by modern agriculture and distinctive rural tourism industries, it has developed the Sanjiang Yunding Shanzhuang (Cloud Top Villa) homestay.

The Cloud Top Villa covers about 20 mu, including about 15 early-stage log cabins (each about 80 sqm) and about 20 newly added viewing lodges, intended for vacation rental.

Here is a "sky city" where you dine among the clouds and stroll through the forest. By day, you can overlook Sanjiang Town, where Longzhu Gully Stream converges with the Heishi River below, and you can take in the winding rivers and rolling mountains at a glance.

Panlong Mountain is located within Sanjiang jurisdiction of Wenchuan County, a branch of the Qionglai Mountains. Its main peak, Baoding Mountain, is 3,970.2 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak on the edge of the Western Sichuan Plain. Rich in flora and fauna, it has an excellent ecological environment.

Here grow more than 40 species of rhododendron, as well as the bamboo favored by giant pandas (such as Fargesia robusta and Bashania fangiana) and Cercidiphyllum japonicum. When spring blossoms, flocks of white doves (Davidia involucrata flowers) seem to spread their wings among the forest, while rhododendrons of various shapes and colors—pink, white, purple, or yellow—bloom in competition.

This area is also a concentrated distribution area for giant pandas. On the high mountains to the west, adjacent to the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve, nearly 100 wild giant pandas are active, accounting for more than 60% of the total in the entire reserve.

The diverse biological communities demonstrate the infinite mysteries of nature. It is no exaggeration to call this place a "kingdom of plants" or a "treasure house of animals."

In addition, Panlong Mountain contains the world's largest community of Davidia involucrata, covering an area of over 30,000 mu.

Davidia involucrata Baill (also known as dove tree or water pear) is unique to China. Its flower shape resembles a white dove spreading its wings, earning it the name "Chinese dove flower." Because of the faithful legend of the White Dove Princess and the Davidia hunter, locals also call it the "love tree."

Davidia involucrata is a deciduous tree that can grow 15 to 25 meters tall, with broad ovate leaves and serrated edges. Both bisexual and male flowers occur on the same tree. The flower shape resembles a white dove fluttering on the branches. Due to its rarity, it is also known as the "giant panda of the plant world."

/ Sanjiang Longzhu Gully /

Longzhu Gully is a natural ravine formed by geological movements and water erosion. The gully winds with clear water and a large, perennial flow. The surrounding forest is dense, and the temperature inside the canyon is relatively low.

The gully is about 4 km long and about 10 meters wide. From the bottom to the top, the height is about 80 meters. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, with lush bamboo and trees and rising auspicious energy, it has always been a geomantic treasure spot on Sanjiang land.

Standing inside, the path twists and turns, every step reveals a new scene, and every ten steps bring a different sky—as if stepping into a dream world.
