Liudong New District (High-tech Zone) Federation of Trade Unions: Master Artisans Visit Liudong to Ignite Workers’ ‘Craftsmanship Dream’
On May 28, with gentle winds and bright sunshine, the Liujiang River shimmered under blue skies, a lecture tour of master artisans titled 'Chinese Dream · Labour Beauty — Uniting Hearts, Following the Party, Striving Together on a New Journey' was grandly held in the lecture hall of Liuzhou Library (Liudong Branch). Gao Fenglin, Wang Jun, Wang Jianqing, Zhang Hua and other national model workers, along with outstanding representatives of industrial workers, teachers and students from vocational and technical schools, and distinguished entrepreneurs—more than 380 people—attended the event. Together they discussed the spirit of model workers and craftsmanship, conveyed the driving force of exemplary role models, and ignited passion for innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity.

Gao Fenglin pointed out that new quality productive forces are endowing a new mission for the reform of the industrial workforce, and trade union work needs to deeply understand and grasp this new trend. We must view new quality productive forces from a fresh perspective, deeply understand their intrinsic value and far-reaching impact on the industrial workforce reform. Only in this way can we play a more significant role in the new round of trade union work and achieve greater successes. The introduction and utilization of new quality productive forces undoubtedly open up new possibilities for union work. This requires our joint efforts to make our union work more distinctive, more innovative and more effective.
Sun Peng stated that the 'Chinese Dream · Labour Beauty' master artisan technical exchange activity, by organizing national model workers and master artisans to go deep into grassroots levels, vigorously promotes the spirit of model workers, labour spirit, and craftsmanship. It tells the 'stories of model workers, labour, craftsmanship, and creation', building a workforce that is 'knowledgeable, skilled, innovative and practical'. It fosters a social trend of glorious labour and a spirit of continuous improvement, singing a new-era hymn to the 'Chinese Dream · Labour Beauty'.
Fu Jianwen said that the Liuzhou CPPCC fully leverages its role as a specialized consultative body, making good use of the advantages of CPPCC organizations and members, to support trade union organizations at all levels in the city to take 'organizing, promoting development, complying with laws and regulations, and earnestly protecting rights' as the main line of union work. It unites and mobilizes the broad workforce to play a major role in achieving sound and rapid economic and social development. It continuously improves workers’ skill levels, vigorously promotes the spirit of model workers, labour, and craftsmanship, maximally stimulates labour enthusiasm and creative potential, and drives the reform of industrial workforce development in depth. It always adheres to a worker-centered work orientation, realizes, safeguards, and develops the fundamental interests of workers, acting as the most trustworthy 'family' and 'close confidant' of the workers.
Yang Haoming stated that the prosperity and progress of Liudong New District are inseparable from the hard work and selfless dedication of every industrial worker. With superb techniques, exquisite skills, and a spirit of constant innovation, they continuously infuse momentum into the development of Liudong New District. Model workers and master artisans are the most admirable people of the new era and the backbone force driving high-quality economic and social development. Therefore, we have always been committed to strengthening the services and cultivation of model workers and artisans. Through measures such as the 'Liudong Artisan' development project and the establishment of model worker and artisan innovation studios, we provide a broader stage for their growth and development.
During the event, a 'model workers and master artisans assisting and revitalizing enterprises' tour was carried out. Gao Fenglin, Wang Jun, Wang Jianqing, Zhang Hua and other national model workers visited enterprises such as Ruipu Saike Company, Guangxi Linglong Tire Co., Ltd., Liudong Logistics Center, Liuzhou East District Hualing Workers’ Home, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd., and the National (Guangxi Kehong) Regional Emergency Prevention and Control Facility and Material Reserve for Major Pest and Epidemic Outbreaks. They had face-to-face exchanges with frontline staff and technical personnel, solved technical problems, shared craftsmanship skills and experiences, and shared their growth stories, inspiring technical workers’ enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship, promoting enterprise technological progress and enhancing competitiveness.
Li Mujiang, Chairperson of the Liudong New District (High-tech Zone) Federation of Trade Unions, stated that Liudong New District is an innovation-driven zone with a strong spirit of innovation. The union has always placed importance on cultivating skilled craftspeople and industry professionals. By deeply implementing the 'Liudong Artisan' development project, it has cultivated a 'fertile soil' for artisans to grow and built a 'stage' for them to excel, fostering a strong atmosphere and social ethos of respecting labour and venerating artisans. As of this year, the Liudong New District (High-tech Zone) Federation of Trade Unions has hosted the 'Master Artisans Enter Liuzhou' event for five consecutive years. From various angles, such as optimizing artisan training, selection, deployment, and incentive mechanisms, it has promoted full exchanges between visiting master artisans, national model workers, and representatives of advanced enterprises in the district, carrying forward the spirit of model workers, labour, and craftsmanship, and encouraging workers to pursue skill development and national service. The 36 'Liudong Artisans' and nominees selected in past years continue to shine in various industries, becoming the 'pace-setters' among the district's vast industrial workforce, igniting the 'craftsmanship dream' in more workers' hearts.
This event was guided by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, co-hosted by China Worker International Travel Service, the Administrative Committee of Liuzhou Liudong New District, the Social Legal and Ethnic Religious Affairs Committee of the Liuzhou CPPCC, and the Liuzhou Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism. It was jointly organized by the Liudong New District (High-tech Zone) Federation of Trade Unions, Liuzhou Library, the Trade Union Sectoral Studio of the Liuzhou CPPCC, and Guangxi Linglong Tire Co., Ltd.
Through the actions of model workers and master artisans assisting, revitalizing and empowering enterprises, the event not only showcased the spirit of model workers and artisans but also built a bridge for technical communication with practical actions, injecting vitality into talent growth and bringing new hope and impetus to local industrial development.
