Liuzhou Museum was founded in 1959, located on the east side of Liuzhou People's Square. It is a comprehensive national key museum with advanced facilities and modern functions, and one of Liuzhou's landmark buildings. Liuzhou Museum is a national AAAA-level cultural relic tourist attraction, covering an area of 39 mu (about 2.6 hectares), with a building area of 16,600 square meters and an exhibition area of 8,000 square meters. It governs the Liuhou Temple cultural relic scenic area and the East Gate Tower cultural relic scenic area. The museum has a rich collection of cultural relics, many of which have local characteristics and are national treasures due to their exquisite rarity. Permanent exhibitions include the History Hall, Ethnic Hall, Bronze Hall, Fan and Calligraphy Hall, and Ancient Fossil Hall.
