National Workers' Health Promotion Project Work Promotion Meeting and 2024 Health Science Popularization Ten-Thousand-Mile Tour (Liuzhou Stop) Held in Liuzhou, Guangxi

On November 19, the National Workers' Health Promotion Project Office, together with the All-China Federation of Trade Unions' directly affiliated unit China Workers' International Travel Service Head Office, the National High-tech Zone Trade Union Work Council, the Liuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, and other related units, held the 'National Workers' Health Promotion Project Work Promotion Meeting and 2024 Health Science Popularization Ten-Thousand-Mile Tour (Liuzhou Stop)' at Liuzhou High-tech Zone. More than 300 trade union staff from over 40 high-tech zones across the country and experts in the field of workers' health participated.

Zhao Taotao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Liudong New District, Liuzhou City, delivered a speech.

The conference was hosted by the Liuzhou High-tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions and the Health Science Popularization Committee of the National Workers' Health Promotion Project. The theme of the meeting was 'Chinese Dream · Labor Beauty — Forge the Soul and Follow the Party, Unite and Strive on a New Journey'. In line with the All-China Federation of Trade Unions' '559' work deployment, efforts were made to vigorously implement the work requirement of 'deeply implementing the National Workers' Health Promotion Project to enhance the quality of life of workers', promoting national workers' health promotion work and contributing to the construction of a Healthy China. The meeting began with reports on the workers' health promotion work and the achievements of the 2024 National Workers' Health Science Popularization Ten-Thousand-Mile Tour by Zhang Lianhong, Executive Deputy Director of the National Workers' Health Promotion Project Office, and Zhang Zhixiang, Secretary-General of the Health Science Popularization Committee of the National Workers' Health Promotion Project, respectively. Tong Linquan, Deputy Director of the Occupational Engineering Research Office of the National Health Commission's Occupational Safety and Health Research Center, then delivered a keynote report titled 'Implementing Source Control to Advance Engineering Protection Against Occupational Disease Hazards'. At the meeting, the Liuzhou High-tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions held an awarding ceremony for the second batch of jointly built Liudong New District (High-tech Zone) Worker Service Bases, awarding plaques to ten newly established bases. China Workers' International Travel Service Head Office and the Liuzhou High-tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions donated the 'China Model Worker' book series to some units, model workers, and craftsmen. The National Health Commission's grassroots health service space donated appropriate TCM health service equipment to Liudong New District. In the closing part, Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center Liuzhou Hospital, along with representatives from trade unions, enterprises, and related units across the country, shared experiences on workers' health education, the importance of brain health in workers' health management, digital-intelligent TCM empowering workers' health, and new perspectives on workers' health preservation and management.

In recent years, the Liuzhou High-tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions has implemented the spirit of documents such as the All-China Federation of Trade Unions' 'Healthy China 2030' Planning Outline and the National Fitness Plan (2021-2025), carrying out the national fitness strategy and focusing on workers' physical and mental health. It has continuously worked on health knowledge popularization, promoting health huts, health cafeterias, and health sports, and implementing worker recuperation service plans. Two worker health service centers have been built, and ten grassroots trade union health cafeterias have been selected. At the same time, more than ten health lectures or free clinics are held each year, over ten worker sports events such as football, basketball, balloon volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and brisk walking are organized, and nearly ten batches of worker recuperation activities are arranged, benefiting tens of thousands of workers. The diverse and content-rich activities create a strong atmosphere of health, civilization, uplifting spirit, and full participation, inspiring the vast number of workers in the Liuzhou High-tech Zone to strive to be the main force in building a Healthy China. Going forward, the Liuzhou High-tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions will take the successful holding of this meeting as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the National Workers' Health Promotion Project Office in health science popularization, health sports, and the construction of health huts, so as to enhance the sense of happiness and gain of workers in the Liuzhou High-tech Zone.
