Renowned Guangxi Writers Gather at Guanglv Sanjiang Scenic Area for Creative Inspiration, Spreading Dong Village Charm Through Literary Power

From June 10 to 12, 2025, to deeply explore and communicate the cultural essence of the Guanglv Sanjiang Scenic Area and further enhance the brand influence and reputation of Guangxi Tourism Development Group (hereinafter “Guanglv Group”), Guanglv Group joined hands with the Guangxi Chinese Culture Promotion Society to successfully host the themed event “Renowned Guangxi Writers Visit Guanglv Sanjiang Scenic Area for Creative Inspiration.” This field trip aimed to offer a profound cultural interpretation and artistic reinvention of the Sanjiang scenic area through the unique perspectives and expert pens of literary figures.

The event specially invited 20 prominent writers from the Chinese Musicians Association, China Writers Association, Guangxi Writers Association, Guangxi Chinese Culture Promotion Society, People’s Daily Online, and Contemporary Guangxi to explore Chengyang Eight Villages, a national 5A-level tourist attraction under Guanglv Group and known as a “living museum of China’s Dong ethnic group,” experiencing its intangible cultural heritage. They also visited Yueye Dong Village, a national hub for night economy and tourism consumption, where they immersed themselves in the nationally acclaimed large-scale Dong-style live performance “Zuomei Sanjiang.” Through their literary eyes and vivid words, they captured the scenic area’s extraordinary natural wonders and profound cultural heritage in all dimensions.

The writers delved into Chengyang Eight Villages, marveling at the grandeur of Chengyang Yongji Bridge, one of the world’s four historic bridges, and the exquisite craftsmanship of Dong wooden architecture; they soaked in the history preserved in the Silver Ornament Museum, Dong Painting Museum, and Wooden Structure Museum; they experienced traditional customs like the Hundred Family Feast and Firepit Family Banquet; and they joined the exuberant folk performance “Yueye Dong Village · Intangible Heritage Chengyang.”

Strolling through Yueye Dong Village at night, they lost themselves in the live spectacle of “Zuomei Sanjiang,” witnessing a modern expression of the romantic Dong courtship ritual of “singing and sitting the night.” The melodious Dong songs, dazzling Dong dances, and the reunion-celebrating Duoye provided a wellspring of inspiration and stirred the writers’ souls.

The writers commented that this trip was a deep cultural “root-seeking” and inspirational journey. Armed with fresh firsthand experiences and profound reflections, they plan to create a series of high-quality, touching literary works in poetry, fiction, prose, and other genres, complemented by photography and video, striving to showcase the unique allure of Guanglv Sanjiang Scenic Area from multiple angles.

A responsible person from Guanglv Group stated that this collaboration with the Guangxi Chinese Culture Promotion Society is a key move to innovate brand marketing models and deepen cultural-tourism integration. Inviting renowned writers for an in-depth creative trip not only authoritatively highlights and artistically elevates the area’s cultural connotations but also harnesses literary power to bring Sanjiang’s “poetry and distant places” to a broader audience, injecting strong literary momentum into the high-quality development of Sanjiang’s cultural tourism industry, effectively enhancing the destination’s visibility and appeal, and ultimately turning it into a powerful drive to attract visitors.
