General Trade Union of Liudong New District (High-tech Zone), Guangxi: Films as Boats Accompanying People, Paintings as Bridges Warming Hearts
Caring for life and promoting health. On the morning of September 26, the humanities and arts exhibition "Colors of Life·Moments of Love" opened at the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center Liuzhou Hospital.
This art exhibition is co-hosted by the General Trade Union of Liudong New District (High-tech Zone), Liuzhou City, together with the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center Liuzhou Hospital and the Liuzhou City Library. Yin Genquan, Executive Director of the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center Liuzhou Hospital, and Li Mujiang, Chairman of the General Trade Union of Liudong New District (High-tech Zone), Liuzhou City, delivered speeches. The submitted works were divided into photography and painting categories. A judging panel selected first, second, third prizes, and honorable mentions based on thematic relevance, emotional expression, and creativity. A total of 172 works were submitted.
Guided by art, the exhibition conveys love and respect for life. At the opening ceremony, Yin Genquan stated that artistic creation breaks the stereotypical constraint of "hospital = serious treatment," allowing moments of "life and love" to be permanently preserved by cameras and brushes. Li Mujiang emphasized that the purpose of hosting the exhibition is to build a bridge that "does not speak but shares empathy," allowing the seed of "caring for life" to quietly fall into everyone's heart. Subsequently, doctor representative Zhu Hongxu, nurse representative Chen Jinlan, and a family representative of a selected work from the Liudong New District (High-tech Zone) General Trade Union shared the creative stories behind their works. Meanwhile, a child patient undergoing treatment sent blessings through a video. Although unable to attend in person, his bright smile and optimistic spirit instantly warmed the venue.
After the opening ceremony, awards were presented to the winners, followed by group photos. The exhibition area also featured a public free clinic, where visitors could enjoy the artworks while having friendly conversations with medical staff about health. Many visitors gathered around the first-prize painting "Warmth and Hope" to take photos. It depicts a white-clad angel holding a sick child, with infusion stands entwined with green leaves and flowers, conveying a gentle warmth through the innocent brushstrokes. Zhu Hongxu's photography work was also highly praised, capturing a surgery scene under a dim light. Recalling the moment, he said: "As medical staff, we always fulfill our mission. The honor of this photo does not belong to me personally, but to every person who works tirelessly at their posts." Additionally, the exhibited works will be on display at the Liuzhou City Library during the National Day holiday.

As the "family backer," the General Trade Union of Liudong New District (High-tech Zone), Liuzhou City, consistently enriches the spiritual and cultural lives of workers, providing them with an art display platform and encouraging them to enjoy the nourishment and influence of art amidst busy work schedules. This art exhibition is an innovative practice in the final year of the "Further Improvement of Nursing Service Action Plan" and the "Guangxi Nursing Development Plan," aiming to discover artistic talents among workers and encourage their holistic development.
