4-Day Beijing Tour in 2018 (Yanqi Lake, Hongluo Temple, Beijing Confucius Temple, Guozijian, Tiananmen)

This is a 4-day Beijing itinerary, excluding the training part. The sightseeing focused mainly on cultural relics and historical sites.

June 7, 2018 (Beijing weather: cloudy, 22–33°C)

G16 train, departing from Shanghai Hongqiao Station at 17:00.

First time taking the Fuxing high-speed train.

June 8, 2018 (Beijing weather: cloudy, 25–32°C)

The training took place by Yanqi Lake, so I spent three consecutive days enjoying the lake's beauty, from night scenery to daytime views.

The iconic building on the lakeshore is the Beijing Sunrise Kempinski Hotel.

June 9, 2018 (Beijing weather: overcast, 17–23°C)

Hongluo Temple, a Beijing protected cultural relic site. Hongluo Temple was first built in the fourth year of the Xiankang era of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (338 AD), originally named 'Daming Temple' (renamed 'Huguo Zifu Chan Temple' during the Zhengtong era of the Ming Dynasty, and popularly known as 'Hongluo Temple' due to the beautiful legend of the Red Snail Fairy). Entrance fee: 54 yuan.

Visited Yanqi Lake again.

June 10, 2018 (Beijing weather: sunny, 17–27°C)

Sinopec Sales Training Base, located by Yanqi Lake.

Admission to the Yanqi Lake scenic area is 45 yuan.

Took a friend's car to downtown Beijing.

Roads in central Beijing were heavily congested.

Jingweizhai Olympic Sports Center branch.

The restaurant had a strong old Beijing atmosphere.

Took the subway to Guozijian Street.

Guozijian Street, one of the first China Historical and Cultural Famous Streets.

Beijing Confucius Temple, a national key cultural relic protection unit, also known as 'Xianshi Temple', located at No. 13 Guozijian Street, Andingmen Inner, Dongcheng District, Beijing. It was a place for offering sacrifices to Confucius during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Construction began in the sixth year of Dade of the Yuan Dynasty (1302) and was completed in the tenth year of Dade (1306), covering an area of 22,000 square meters. It was rebuilt in the ninth year of Yongle of the Ming Dynasty (1411). Admission to the Confucius Temple and Guozijian scenic area is 30 yuan.

Guozijian, a national key cultural relic protection unit, was the highest educational institution and educational administration in ancient China.

G15 train, departing from Beijing South Railway Station at 18:00, returning to Shanghai.
