I recommend visiting Hushan Scenic Area in Quyang, Baoding. Hushan is a natural landscape area combining mountains, forests, springs, streams, waterfalls, lakes, and more into one beautiful setting. It’s not only an ecological treasure but also a mountain rich in revolutionary history. The area features a Red Culture Exhibition Hall and the Jin-Cha-Ji Beiyue Anti-Japanese War Exhibition Hall. For Children’s Day, Hushan has prepared a host of wonderful activities for visitors of all ages—expect delightful surprises!

According to historical records, gold mining on Hushan began in the Yuan Dynasty. Nearly a thousand years of gold-mining history have left behind a brilliant, high-quality gold culture. Gold engenders water, and water nourishes gold. Hushan is rich in water resources, with pristine ecology, dense forests, and over 90% vegetation cover. The air is incredibly fresh. Follow the streams along the scenic walking paths and slowly enter nature’s 'natural oxygen bar.' The tinkling 'Gold Water Spring' plays a natural melody on the mountain. The spring bubbles all year round, its clear, sweet water cascading joyfully—cool in summer and warm in winter.

Hushan, long hidden deep in the Taihang Mountains, has remained mostly untouched, preserving its original natural beauty. The vegetation is lush, with grass and tree coverage close to 100%. Squirrels, birds, and other wildlife can be spotted frequently. In summer, the average temperature here is more than 5°C lower than in downtown Shijiazhuang or Baoding. It’s cool and refreshing, free from summer’s heat—an ideal place to escape smog, cleanse your lungs, and enjoy leisure and recuperation.

Play is a child's nature. At the roadside 'Swing Fun Zone,' kids can experience 'speed and passion' on various swings and soar with joy. In the 'Children's Folk Paradise,' families can capture happy moments with their phones. Along the 'Ten-Li Water Fun Corridor,' children can catch fish and try traditional games like hoop rolling, hopscotch, beanbag toss, and marbles. These 'old-school games' not only get kids away from screens to experience the games their parents played in childhood, but also help everyone relax, enhance communication, and strengthen parent-child bonds.

Surrounded by green mountains and clear waters, you'll be in a great mood. Leisure and sports bring health benefits. Parents and kids can tackle the rainbow slide together, doubling the laughter and fun. This summer, it’s all about coolness, health, and happiness. Come to Hushan this summer!

Walking through the green valley, you'll be drawn to a red building from afar. It’s the 'Red Culture Exhibition Hall,' displaying nearly a thousand propaganda posters and over a thousand volumes of literature, books, and biographies from the revolutionary era. The entire exhibition hall is in one color: red. This color permeated every aspect of life at that time—kettles, cups, mirrors, posters, badges, porcelain plates... Each collectible glimmers with historical memory, transporting you back to that simple era.

The Hebei Collectors Association has designated this place as a red culture research base, making full use of Hebei’s revolutionary resources to enhance the visibility of its red culture brand and to better collect, study, display, and promote red culture.

Hushan Scenic Area in Quyang, Baoding, lies in the Beiyue war zone of the old Jin-Cha-Ji revolutionary base, only about 60 kilometers from the former headquarters of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Command in Fuping County. The nationally renowned militia hero Li Dianbing was from Jiandijiao Village in Quyang. He led his guerrilla forces around Jiandijiao, Hushan, and Qingshan, using 'sparrow warfare' tactics in the mountains to strike hard at Japanese invaders. In addition to the Red Culture Exhibition Hall, the site also includes the 'Jin-Cha-Ji Beiyue Anti-Japanese War Exhibition Hall'.

The exhibition hall houses weapons, equipment, and daily items reflecting the heroic resistance of the military and civilians in the Beiyue region. You can also see the brave deeds of Li Dianbing, who was awarded the titles 'Marksman' and 'Second-Class Combat Hero' by the Jin-Cha-Ji Border Region government. Detailed pictures, precious relics, and touching stories present a stirring account of heroism. As Children's Day approaches, bring children to visit the exhibition hall, pay tribute to the anti-Japanese war martyrs, and pass on the red legacy.

To welcome Children's Day, the scenic area has organized special activities. Each admission ticket comes with a red scarf—put it on and celebrate Children's Day together. In the Cute Pet Town, staff dressed as animals interact with visitors. The Folk Museum hosts a nostalgic exhibition of childhood items, plus a children’s game challenge course. You can listen to revolutionary stories and step back into those times. Bring your kids to Hushan for edutainment! Enjoy a unique Children's Day that will leave a lasting memory in your child's childhood.
