Runzeyuan, nestled just 300 meters west of the East Gate of Baishishan Scenic Area, is a traditional courtyard-style inn built into the hillside and shaded by lush trees. Elegant, refined, spotless, and tranquil, a stay here not only washes away travel fatigue but also lifts your spirit, making you feel as if you’ve returned to nature—refreshed, carefree, and above the mundane. Outside the courtyard, winding paths lead through pavilions and terraces to a secluded spot. The little pavilion is perfect for cooling off and relaxing; whether with close friends or family, you can chat, share delicious food, and drink in the lovely views—pure bliss! Runzeyuan is truly a gem within Baishishan’s scenery. By day, you can soak up nature’s beauty without stepping out the door. Try your hand at calligraphy or painting in the artistic study, sing your heart out in the splendid multi-function hall, enjoy a game of chess on a vintage stone table, read in a dainty gazebo, or sip a drink in a chariot-style chair. The inn can accommodate up to 40 guests. There are 9 standard rooms, each with two 1.2m-wide beds; 3 king rooms, each with a 1.8m-wide bed; and 4 two-room suites: two suites feature a 1.8m bed in both the inner and outer rooms, while the other two have a 1.8m bed in the inner room and two 1.2m single beds in the outer room.
Nighttime at the inn: In the evening, the courtyard feels even more immaculate. Stroll in the gentle breeze, enveloped in such peace and quiet that the whole world seems to belong to you alone—it’s a deeply enchanting, almost ethereal sensation.
Specialty dishes: The stewed local mushrooms with free-range chicken uses wild mountain mushrooms and farm-raised chicken. All fish are kept live in our own pond, cooked to order for peak freshness. Eggs are from free-range hens, and most vegetables come straight from our garden. In short, both ingredients and culinary skills are among the finest in the area.
