Baishishan has launched stargazing tourism products,

and in early 2021 was awarded 'China's Most Beautiful Stargazing Site'.

China has extraordinary mountains—Baishishan in Hebei

Baishishan Scenic Area is a Global Geopark, a national 5A-level tourist attraction, a national forest park, and a national youth science education base. Located in the core area of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, adjacent to Xiong'an New Area, under Laiyuan County of Baoding City, it gets its name from the many white rocks on the mountain. It is a renowned mountain summer resort and a sacred mountain of love in China.

Baishishan boasts China's only marble peak forest landscape and the most spectacular sea of clouds. It has the largest areas of larch and red birch forests in North China. It is the birthplace of China's frontier culture, the Project Hope, and fox fairy culture, and one of the best places to witness Buddha's light and sunrise. There are also popular spots like the Cloud Café, the cliffside plank walk, the 'Sky Mirror,' and the vow site 'Shanmeng Terrace.'

Self-driving from Beijing via Zhangshi Expressway takes about 2.5 hours; from Tianjin via Rongwu Expressway about 2.5 hours; from Shijiazhuang via Taihangshan Expressway about 1.5 hours; from Xiong'an New Area and Baoding via Rongwu Expressway about 1 hour; exit at Laiyuan South.

For independent travelers by bus: From Beijing Liuliqiao Bus Station and Baoding Passenger Transport Center to Laiyuan, there is a bus every hour; from Tianjin West Bus Station and Shijiazhuang Yunheqiao Bus Station, fixed daily departures to Laiyuan.
