China News Network, Beijing, September 8 (Reporter Feng Ganyong) On September 7, 2023, the press conference for the '2023 Lechengwa International Family Music Festival' was held at the Beijing Cultural Property Rights Exchange Center. The organizers announced that the 2023 Lechengwa International Family Music Festival will take place from October 1 to 3, 2023, at the Laiyuan Lake Scenic Area in Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei Province.

At the conference, host Qian Chun introduced that the '2023 Lechengwa International Family Music Festival' is guided by the Publicity Department of Baoding Municipal Committee and the Baoding Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, hosted by the CPC Laiyuan County Committee, Laiyuan County People's Government, and Beijing Cultural Creative Industry Development Service Co., Ltd., and organized by Laiyuan County Hongwei Property Development Co., Ltd., Beijing Zhongchuang Interactive Entertainment International Cultural Creativity Co., Ltd., and WBM Entertainment LTD. (China/Netherlands). This Lechengwa International Family Music Festival will not only allow audiences to experience a diverse music culture, but also boost tourism in Laiyuan, promote the development of the cultural creative industry, and advance the inheritance and dissemination of Laiyuan culture. Jos van Dinther, Deputy Head of the Economic Section of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China, attended the press conference. He said the Netherlands is one of the happiest countries in the world, and Dutch children have been voted the happiest by children's charity foundations. The Dutch are very creative and have many well-known music festivals, with stage design and production as particular strengths. Hundreds of music festivals are held every year without any issues, which is also related to the Dutch culture of freedom and creativity. He also introduced the unique concept of the Lechengwa International Family Music Festival: allowing audiences to escape the bustling city, heal tired souls in nature, and experience a romantic and dreamy family music festival. He expressed great anticipation for this family music festival to be held in China and was already eager to experience it in person.

Paul Neuteboom, the Dutch project director, officially announced the theme planning, highlights, performance lineup, and series of activities for the first edition of this Dutch-flavored international family music festival. With a single festival ticket, attendees can enjoy a musical feast from domestic and international artists. The main stage will feature top Dutch DJs Lucas & Steve, Chipz, as well as child stars popular with kids in China such as Song Xiaorui, the Tudou Kingdom Little Band, Haohao Zhang Xuanrui, and many other bands and singers. In addition, visitors can watch four children's plays in one day: the officially authorized Ultraman series stage play 'Ultraman Legend: Return of the Hero,' the Dutch children's play 'Fien & Teun,' which is extremely popular with Dutch kids and introduced to China for the first time, and two magic shows beloved by children, 'Forest Magic Symphony' and 'Adventure in the Magic Castle,' all performed back-to-back. Unlike traditional pop music festivals, this international family music festival features three stages: the main stage (Lechengwa Stage), the secondary stage (Outdoor Theater Stage), and the electronic stage. Each day on the main stage, there will be a Lechengwa-themed music and light show interactive performance, where the cheerful Lechengwa will lead children into a fairytale castle kingdom for interactive fun. Travel expert Zi Cheng was invited to the press conference. At the event, Zi Cheng shared her experience: having visited many large amusement parks in China and participated in numerous children's activities, she found that while kids often have a great time, it's exhausting for parents, who often end up lying around playing on their phones. This event allows parents to let loose and enjoy a feast for the senses together with their children. The concept of a family music festival is quite new and completely different from traditional music festivals. She heard that professional decibel control will be implemented at the venue, which puts many parents' minds at ease—many have been afraid to bring their children to concerts worried about damage to their eardrums; this is a very thoughtful touch.
