Handan Wu'an Taihang Mountain Yuexi Wangpo is hidden in the Taihang Valley, exuding a rustic luxury style. It's like a secluded cabin in The Wizard of Oz, and you get the entire forest to yourself.

Handan Wu'an Taihang Mountain Yuexi Wangpo high-end homestay is located in Guwangpo Village, Huoshui Township, Wu'an City, Handan City, Hebei Province. Nestled in the heart of the Taihang Mountains, it is 30 km from Wu'an city (about a 30-minute drive), about 60 km from Handan (about 1 hour), and about 200 km from Shijiazhuang city center (about a 3-hour drive). The project is west of Provincial Road 202, offering convenient transportation. Upward you can view the "Tiancang" (Heavenly Granary), mid-level you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, and downward you can overlook Jingniang Lake with excellent views. The original residential buildings have been well preserved and showcase the distinctive features of Taihang folk houses—stone walls and stone roofs.

The renovation of Wangpo was carried out with reverence for the Taihang Mountains and admiration for the wisdom of the original inhabitants. We hoped to preserve the original character of the buildings and to continue the cultural connotation and value of the Taihang Mountains through the architecture and its interior forms, so that visitors would remember the stories of every stone and tree here. In the design, through flexible techniques and innovative combinations, the stone and wood culture of the Taihang Mountains is presented to the world in a more dynamic way. Guests here can open their windows to see the mountains and enjoy the rural scenery of all seasons; step out and enter the landscape, savoring a life of leisure and pleasure.

Wangpo Homestay is divided into five building clusters, located at the foot of Koushang Village, Huoshui Township, Wu'an City, Handan City, Hebei Province: Daluoye, Yunhutang, Guanshanyue, Shanzhenju, and Huanxisha, totaling 21 courtyards. The entire courtyard complex features an infinity pool, hot spring baths, a restaurant, a tea house, a coffee bar, a library, a children's playground, and a mountain trail. The ancient "Wangpo" area is adjacent to the "Jingniang Lake" scenic area, built along the mountain slope and by the water.

Here the average summer temperature is 20°C, which is 2.5°C lower than the average temperature in Wu'an urban area and 5.06°C lower than in Handan urban area. The altitude of the site ranges from 620 m to 1,340 m, with a large drop, majestic and steep mountains, and deep, narrow valleys.

The courtyards are scattered at different heights according to the natural terrain and environment, offering both a sense of private space and a feeling of neighborly closeness. You have the company of pristine landscapes alongside a modern accommodation experience. You can either retreat deeply into the mountains or step into the bustle of the world.

Special facilities include rural private cuisine, a tea house, a coffee bar, a study, a painting room, traditional handmade workshops, a swimming pool, an outdoor children's play area, farming experiences, and water fun, fully meeting guests' rural holiday and leisure lifestyle needs.

Yunhutang · Spring: Facing the mountains, I forget fame and gain; facing the water, my heart is more at ease. When clouds leave, the mountains are like a painting; when clouds come, the mountains are even better. A gentle breeze passes over the green pool, and moist rain plays with the mountain flowers. Leaning on the railing, we gaze at each other; turning my head, the sun has already set.

Yunhutang has a total of 8 guest rooms. The first floor houses the front desk reception hall, dining area, and book bar; the second floor mainly consists of guest rooms. The large terrace on the south side offers the best viewing angle whether you are waiting for check-in, dining, reading, or painting. Leaning on the railing and looking into the distance, the view is wide open, and you share a mutual delight with the green mountains opposite. If it happens to be a drizzly spring, the mountains are shrouded in mist, like a sea of clouds, like a dreamy marsh.

Yunhutang is adjacent to the infinity pool, restaurant, coffee bar, and book bar. The large terrace is convenient for group meals or salons of 15–20 people.

The rooms use white and natural wood as the main color palette, creating a comfortable, cozy yet warm space, accented with bright yellow, gray-blue, and other lively colors. The room design emphasizes the interplay between interior and exterior, using terraces and platforms to blend the outdoor scenery with the room, achieving the effect of being able to converse with nature even without a courtyard.

Huanxisha · Summer: A hut built below the waterfall, under the eaves flows a stream. The empty mountain glistens green in clear weather; people walk in the slanting sunlight. Flowers cast shadows on the screen wall; the night breeze chills my silk robes. The high moon in the sky, I beg you not to let my guest go home.

Huanxisha faces south and is an independent courtyard-style mountain homestay. Naturally formed mountain pools are inlaid like jade. "Half a cove of white clouds cannot be plowed; a clear pool moonlight fishes without a trace." "Willing to drink with the old neighbor across the hedge, and then call for another cup from the remaining window." It includes a total of 17 guest rooms named Jianju, Xigu, Tingjian, and Chanyi. Each building has two or three double rooms or suite family rooms. Each courtyard and room is designed in a different style according to the orientation and size of the space, making the most of the natural advantages.

The small courtyards are grounded to the mountain air and natural light; indoors, there is another posture of dialogue with nature. There are trendy glass rooms with an Instagram-worthy vibe, rustic luxury rooms with hammocks, sofas, and tatami, eco-rooms with a mountain rock wall incorporated inside, and suites with attached tea rooms. Huanxisha has become a mountain retreat where rooms are hard to book.

Huanxisha is half surrounded by mountains. Recommended for: high-end guests booking the whole building, family gatherings, company dinners. Facilities: infinity pool, restaurant, coffee bar, book bar, BBQ, hot spring baths.

The spring water has fully absorbed the local medicinal herbs of the Taihang Mountains: angelica, chuanxiong, danshen, safflower, earthworm, white peony, ginseng, licorice, etc. It has certain effects of invigorating blood, relaxing tendons, and clearing collaterals, so it can help alleviate pain for arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It has miraculous effects on neurasthenia, colds, beauty whitening, and smoothing the skin. The Baiquan (Hundred Herb Spring) has many benefits for the human body. First, the moderate water temperature relaxes muscles and joints, relieving fatigue. It also dilates blood vessels, effectively enhancing the body's metabolism.

A pillow of golden breeze at the window; half the mountain autumn leaves all splendid. Clear spring water on the rocks, drinking with deer; forest fruits and garden guests taste the fresh. Worldly affairs always waste one's ambition; rare is the chance in life to return to nature. This place is full of comfort and joy; everyone lies down like a banished immortal.

Shanzhenju is an independent courtyard, including two courtyards—Banshan and Yinshan—each with 5 rooms, secluded and quiet. The overall architectural and interior style is primitive and simple, with both bold openness and rustic charm.

A small waterfall in the courtyard and two half-mountain hot spring pools elevate the overall living experience to a luxurious level. The independent courtyard allows for BBQ and other gatherings.

Guanshanyue: Drunk lying under moonlight, half a bed of snow; quietly listening to the pine breeze, a pillow of wind. Last night the moon goddess descended from the sky; a thousand feet of green cliff turned white overnight. Wearing white fur, lying high facing mountain and moon; around a red clay stove, we talk over new wine. But for whom is this hospitality?

There are 18 cliff wooden houses, each equipped with smart devices and a viewing bathtub. Each room has full-length panoramic windows facing the forest, with an outdoor observation platform for viewing the mountains and listening to the pine breeze. One cliff-wood house can accommodate up to four families or groups of friends, with a super living room, kitchen, dining area, and outdoor BBQ platform.

There is also an infinity pool, restaurant, coffee bar, book bar, BBQ, and hot spring baths.
