Black-and-Gold Dubai

That year, returning from Egypt, I had a layover in Dubai, so I stayed for a day to look around.

This is a city where you need money to enjoy.

So, we just passed by to have a look.

Look at this golden city.

Standing at the top of the Burj Khalifa.

Overlooking this city of extravagance.

So, in the photos, I used a black-and-gold tone to present the city as I saw it.

Dubai (Arabic: دبي, Dubayy; English: Dubai) is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates and the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates.

Dubai is the economic and financial center of the Middle East, and it is also the main transport hub for passengers and goods in the region. Oil revenue contributed to Dubai's early development, but due to limited reserves and low production levels, after 2010, the oil sector accounted for less than 5% of Dubai's GDP. After oil, Dubai's economy relies mainly on tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services.

By 2012, Dubai had developed into a world-class tourist city, ranking 8th globally in terms of the number of foreign visitors, and was the only city in the Middle East to achieve this.

Under the policy of focusing on tourism development, the world's highest luxury hotel, the Burj Al Arab, was built on an artificial island on Jumeirah Beach, along with other high-end resort hotels and the largest shopping mall in the Middle East. Additionally, the only artificial archipelago visible from satellites was constructed—the Palm Islands, The World Islands, Jumeirah Islands, Dubai Waterfront, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai Maritime City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Marina, and an indoor ski resort in the desert—Ski Dubai—concentrating efforts on developing various tourism resources.
