Dubai, November 23, 2023: As expectations for Dubai’s grandest New Year celebration continue to rise, Emaar Properties reveals the extraordinary technical expertise and human creativity behind the legendary Emaar New Year’s Eve 2024 celebration in Downtown Dubai.
For the visual composition on the exterior of Dubai’s most iconic building, the Burj Khalifa, a courageous team of visionaries and technicians meticulously designed it over a total of 671 working days. Compared to previous seasons, this year’s show will coordinate 325 strategic launch points, presenting a breathtaking sky spectacle.
Paying tribute to the spirit of Dubai, over 2,800 launch directions transform the night sky into an intricate tapestry of colors and shapes, enhancing the performance. During the show, an unprecedented 15,682 pyrotechnic elements will be presented, each coordinated with unique launch sequences using advanced computer technology.
Perfectly coordinated with this spectacular show is the nearby Dubai Fountain, which will present its own stunning choreography.
Under the meticulous direction of Peter Kopik, Chief Choreographer at WET, who has nearly three decades of extensive experience in fountain choreography, this year’s Dubai Fountain performance promises an awe-inspiring fusion of water art, light, and music, perfectly synchronized with the Burj Khalifa show.
The performance will feature over a thousand MiniShooters creating dynamic water sequences, dozens of HyperShooters and XtremeShooters propelling water up to 150 meters, hundreds of oarsmen and fan oarsmen adding elegance and fluidity to the water dance. More than 6,600 lights and 127 strobe strings will illuminate the water surface, while 6,700 fog nozzles create an ethereal atmosphere, setting the tone for the magical moments of the night.
