When you mention Guangzhou, everyone knows it's the charming City of Rams where tradition and modernity coexist. As China’s third largest city, it's filled with captivating charm. If you travel here in winter, the comfortable and pleasant temperatures are much warmer than many other cities. It’s perfect for a weekend trip: enjoy a nourishing morning tea with friends, savor authentic snacks, then in the evening take a romantic cruise on the Pearl River and see the world-famous Canton Tower. All very pleasant and enjoyable.

Whether for travel or business, a comfortable stay is essential. This time, I stayed near Tianhe CBD at the Australian-style Ausotel Smart Guangzhou Pearl River New Town. The hotel blends business, leisure, and trendy living into one. It boasts a prime location, adjacent to the Guangzhou International Finance Center, CITIC Plaza, Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, and more. It's about a 10-minute walk to Gangding Metro Station on Line 3, and about 15 minutes by metro to Haixinsha Square, Canton Tower (the iconic ‘Slim Waist’), Teemall, Taikoo Hui, and other attractions. You can walk to Jinan University, South China Normal University, Guangzhou Opera House, Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Library, and other urban landmarks and tourist spots. Getting around is very convenient.

Entering the ground floor, the first thing you see isn’t the front desk but the 'Champs-Élysées' Café. With strong vacation vibes, it offers busy urbanites a relaxing space at any time. The design is full of living art aesthetics, making you feel completely at ease. On the wall, a huge sandstone dolphin mural seems to swim in the ocean, exuding energy and a vibrant atmosphere.

Besides that, every detail of the decor is full of surprises. Two large surfboards displayed in the window must be a favorite among adventure-loving youngsters. The scene seems to convey a spirit of staying passionate, forging ahead, and riding the waves of life.

Look up, and the ginkgo-leaf-shaped crystal chandelier sparkles brilliantly. The light and shadow it casts give a feeling of bathing under sunny seaside skies.

Since I arrived a bit early and it wasn’t check-in time yet, I ordered a cup of rich and aromatic coffee and sat here for a while. For Guangzhou’s prime real estate, the prices are moderate. Whether you want an espresso, iced coffee, black tea latte, or milk tea, you can choose whatever you like.

Comfortable soft sofas and brightly colored tables and chairs make this a great spot for chatting with friends or for business meetings.

Take the elevator to the fifth floor and you’ll reach the hotel lobby. A cute and adorable mascot Kawa is the hotel’s lucky charm, warmly awaiting every guest. If you like it, you can happily pose for a photo with it.

After checking in with the warm and professional service of the front desk staff, you can head to your room.

I stayed in an executive suite this time. The 55 square meters are well laid out, and the cozy decor style gives a homely warmth. One highlight is the desk shaped like a surfboard, full of creativity. Combined with the brown carpet, it feels as free as walking on an Australian beach.

On the desk, there’s a special midsummer notebook for every guest who has stayed here to jot down their feelings and suggestions. Leafing through those heartfelt messages, each one is intriguing. I couldn’t resist writing down some personal thoughts on one of the pages...

The decorations on the wall are also exquisite, with two home design books for browsing and enjoyment.

The room comes with all necessary amenities: a large TV screen, electric curtains, separate wet and dry bathroom, and a large lounge chair... I specifically noticed the mattress is a five-star King Koil, which provides excellent comfort and softness. Paired with the seaside natural scenery wallpaper at the headboard, it guaranteed a night of sweet dreams and relaxation. The soundproofing is great too, so you won’t be disturbed by outside noise or traffic sounds from below.

The plush Kawa dolls on the bed are gifts for guests. Their cute and silly expressions will definitely brighten your mood.

The washbasin is open-style, making the space feel larger. Standing there, you can take in the charming view outside the window. A noteworthy feature is the smart lighting switches that simulate multiple lighting scenarios. They are clearly labeled in Chinese and English. The makeup mirror even has LED fill light, a big plus for girls who need to do makeup.

The bath amenities are from Noelle, an Australian natural organic care brand. The lily tea fragrance is fresh and pleasant, offering a soothing bathing experience. Additionally, the hotel provides self-service laundry and drying service outside the room. For business travelers, this is incredibly practical – no more worrying about finding time to do laundry during a busy trip.

The toilet and shower are separated with a dry-wet design, well thought out, so water won’t splash everywhere.

On the fifth floor, the Le Chao Di C.O.C.O. SMART innovative public space integrates the front desk, restaurant, book bar, leisure and entertainment area, and other multi-functional zones into one. It flexibly and reasonably uses space to meet different guest needs.

The restaurant’s color scheme is mainly orange and blue – a fashionable and vibrant combination paired with leather-backed chairs and marble-top tables. Dining here surely lifts your spirits and broadens your mood.

Daily breakfast is also served here. A rich selection of Chinese and Western dishes satisfies even the pickiest taste buds.

For other meal times, the restaurant has launched various business set meals. I personally recommend: creamy bacon spaghetti, ham and cheese sandwich, and a health-conscious light vegetable and fruit salad. They are healthy, nutritious, and delicious.

The Skybar, full of Australian vibes, is the perfect place to invite friends to sit together in the evening. Relax on the comfortable leather sofas, listen to laid-back music, chat, and order a few cocktails to slowly enjoy a good time at the gathering. The leisurely atmosphere helps you temporarily forget the pressures of real life and relax your tense nerves.

If it feels too confined inside with a larger group, you can move outside to the open-air sky garden. The lush greenery and the city nightscape blend into one romantic picture. This place is great for parties, and I heard many hotel social events are held here.

The hotel perfectly embodies the 'light fashion lifestyle art' brand concept centered on 'simplicity, fashion, environmental protection, and health.' It is well-deserved to be an international mid-range fashion hotel brand under the Argyle Hotel Group, deeply loved by travelers like 'Xiaobaiyang.' In a city like Guangzhou, considering both price and environment, it truly offers great value. Highly recommended!
