Guangzhou Junming Joy World: A Treasure Trove Park Where Kids and Adults Alike Hate to Leave

As a seasoned 'zookeeper,' every weekend I plan to take my two 'little wildlings' out for some fun! Lately, with the autumn-winter transition, the weather has been unpredictable—sometimes hot, sometimes cold, and rainy. I wanted to take the kids out, but I was worried they might catch a chill in the rain or strong wind. Then I heard about the newly opened Guangzhou Junming Joy World in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, which has been getting rave reviews. From ages 2 to 60, everyone can find fun activities here, and it's perfect for a three-generation family outing! Also, since it's indoors in a mall, you don't have to worry about sun or bad weather. So last weekend, our family of four went to check out this hidden-gem attraction!

Guangzhou Junming Joy World is located in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, with a massive floor area of 180,000 square meters. Besides themed parks, it also features specialty streets, dining, and four distinct hotels, creating a perfect all-in-one experience of exploring, playing, shopping, eating, singing, dancing, and more—meeting all the vacation needs of the whole family. The Joy World brings together four major IP theme parks: SONIC WONDERLAND, COCOLAND, JOYPOLIS Guangzhou Huaxia Sega Urban Park, and the CrossFire: Crossfire Battlefield Complex. SONIC WONDERLAND

As soon as I entered SONIC WONDERLAND, I instantly felt my childhood come rushing back! Did you know? Sonic is a classic all-star IP with 30 years of history spanning games, animation, and movies. SONIC WONDERLAND was created by the Sega team!

Sonic Green Hill Zone

Inside SONIC WONDERLAND, there are several areas, and the 3D play structure Sonic Green Hill Zone is the most popular with kids! It features slides, rings, climbing ladders, obstacles with varying heights, and more—each section unique, allowing children to explore and challenge themselves to their heart's content. As a mom, I could completely free my hands here; every area is carefully padded and wrapped, even the floor has soft, bouncy cushioning. Kids can run and play without any worry of falls or injuries!

Sonic Star Stage

At the Sonic Star Stage in the center of the park, you can enjoy non-stop Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons all day and give the little ones a chance to showcase their talents—fostering performance skills and confidence is so easy!

Tails Baby Beach

Tails Baby Beach is perfect for younger toddlers. Kids here can: jump into a pink, dreamy ocean ball pit, build houses with brick-shaped blocks, ride a spinning play castle and laugh to their hearts' content, play seesaw with mom and dad, or leave their handprints on the 3D pin art wall.

Dr. Eggman Ball Pit

No child can resist the magic of a ball pit! Thousands of soft, jelly-like bouncy balls come together, making you eager to dive into the joyful, colorful pit. The lively and fun AR animated projection draws kids in to 'battle' with the ocean balls!

COCOLAND

When my older daughter entered COCOLAND, her eyes were immediately locked onto the pink-hued paradise! This dreamy, fun park easily makes every girl's princess fantasy come true. Fun fact: the LALALACOCO anime character in COCOLAND was newly created by Yuko Shimizu, the original creator of HELLO KITTY! Covering 1,600 square meters, COCOLAND is the world's first officially licensed LALALACOCO theme park! Set against the backdrop of 'Ella Town' from the anime, it features Ice & Snow Building Blocks, Cool Running World, Dreamy Merry-Go-Round, Angry Octopus, Joyful Ball Pit, LALALACOCO themed shop, COCO Town, COCO COOK Restaurant, and a merchandise store. The adorable characters from the cartoons come to life in this immersive park, unlocking all kinds of fun play modes at the push of a button. My two little ones were so engrossed, they didn't want to leave at all!

In the Ice & Snow Building Blocks area, kids can develop their imagination and hands-on skills. The colorful blocks can be transformed into anything their minds dream up. Small cubes stack into any shape, each one fresh and fun, keeping children thoroughly entertained. Parkour race, devil's slide, and a sticky wall are the signature attractions in Cool Running World, with tons of wall interactions, 3D settings, and immersive puzzle challenges that satisfy kids' urges to walk, run, jump, crawl, and climb. While playing with the kids, all the stress and worries of adulthood just disappear! It's often said that a carousel is every girl's pink childhood dream. My daughter absolutely loves sitting on the merry-go-round, a perfect blend of romance, childlike fun, and girlish charm. As it spins to the music, it's like chasing happiness on a dreamy horse. The Joyful Ball Pit in COCOLAND combines an interactive ball-throwing system with a rock-climbing check-in. Diving into the sea of bouncy balls feels like entering a colorful, whimsical fairy tale world. Picking up balls, throwing them, rolling around with the kids, laughing and playing together—this not only lets you be part of their childhood but also lets you relive the joy and laughter of your own.

Halloween Special Event

From October 23 to November 7, every Saturday and Sunday, Guangzhou Junming Joy World hosts Halloween-themed events! At specific times, you can catch live performances by ghouls and monsters, releasing endless joy in a wild dance! Bring your family and friends to join the fun!
