When Traveling to Yangshuo, These Few Places Must Not Be Missed

Everyone has a dream of a distant place, so travel is inevitable.

There is a slight difference between traveling and tourism, as we are more about walking, a journey, a release of the soul, a listening to life.

I have been to Guilin many times, and to Yangshuo many times, whether for vacation or searching for food. But no matter the purpose, it always gives my body and mind a good break. Yes, this time, Yangshuo, I am here again. After arriving, I realized that a few must-visit places might have been overlooked by everyone!

Today, I want to act as your travel recommender and introduce a few great spots. This is a route with no detours: Qingjiangdu – Sister Liu Beer Fish – Meet An'an Quiet Bar.

1. Qingjiangdu Ecological Farm

After taking the high-speed train to Yangshuo, upon exiting Yangshuo High-Speed Rail Station, the bus heading to Yangshuo city center will pass by Fuli Qingjiangdu, which is very convenient! (Of course, there are also buses from Guilin city center to Yangshuo. You can search and buy tickets on various travel apps; there are many trips.)

Qingjiangdu is the most nature-filled place I have seen in Yangshuo, with numerous activities.

While preserving the natural terrain and scenery, it features an ecological vegetable garden, mountain chicken farm, lakeside barbecue pavilion, farm-to-table restaurant, parent-child kitchen, handmade wood-fired earth kiln, children's playground, free grass skiing area, real-life CS field, kayaking, and many other venues and facilities. It is a new-generation kid-friendly spot and great gathering place that combines food, beauty, and fun!

Upon entering the garden, vines fill the corridors, and greenery meets the eyes. Green plants are everywhere in the garden. Along the walkways, various vegetables and fruits are planted on both sides. A gentle breeze blows, letting you enjoy the freshness of nature!

Qingjiangdu has a natural lake. Looking out over the fence, the view is vast, and your body and mind seem to relax along with it. Who says you have to do something on vacation?

Just staring at the lake, breathing the oxygen-rich air, the fatigue of long-term work and the negative energy in life will be swept away.

The term 'ecological' here is not in vain. The farm grows more than a dozen types of vegetables without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. They are all green and pollution-free agricultural products! Qingjiangdu has built its own ecological farm on the mountain, raising thousands of free-range chickens. These are pure mountain free-range chickens, raised in the wild! Natural and healthy!

This place, only 1.5 hours from Guilin city center and just 20 minutes from Yangshuo city center, is definitely worth a visit!

2. Food Recommendation: Sister Liu Beer Fish

After leaving Qingjiangdu and arriving in Yangshuo county, you can take a walk along the Yulong River.

Later, you can go and explore Yangshuo West Street. On West Street, you absolutely must go and eat at Sister Liu Beer Fish.

It is said that Sister Liu Beer Fish has multiple locations in Yangshuo and is very famous locally. I came here because of its reputation, and only after eating did I realize it was the right choice. If you happen to be visiting Yangshuo, remember to taste Beer Fish. If you eat Beer Fish, this Sister Liu place is really great!

Fresh wild fish + Liquan Beer + exclusive secret sauce, cooked on-site by a Yangshuo girl. Timed with an hourglass, it is ready to eat after 8 minutes. The fish meat is like flower petals, soft and delicious. The sauce is really thick. I recommend ordering a bowl of white rice and pouring the sauce over it. Forget about dieting; life should be enjoyed to the fullest!

Word of mouth has made Sister Liu Beer Fish packed almost every night. So if you are worried about crowds, you can also go at noon. Of course, the evening atmosphere might be better, but noon also offers a rare moment of quiet!

Quality is an attitude of responsibility, and high standards are the guarantee of quality. I hope Sister Liu Beer Fish can have more and more locations, always there waiting for you!

3. Meet An'an Quiet Bar

This is a very atmospheric quiet bar. Rather than calling it a quiet bar, I prefer to call it a music restaurant. It has all the standard setups of a traditional quiet bar, yet is full of artistic charm. Located on Yangshuo West Street, it is one of the few quiet bars I have visited in Yangshuo that I am willing to return to. Meet An'an is right across from Sister Liu Beer Fish. After eating Beer Fish, you can go to the quiet bar and sit for a while—perfect!

Here, strangers sit in twos and threes, sharing with each other. The singer's soulful voice slowly permeates the air. The eerie night makes people's eyes hazy. That fine, shallow feeling, dropping into glasses filled with colorful liquids, slowly sinking, is very liberating!

The colorful drinks at Meet An'an, the quiet music, the soothing dance steps—all allow you to forget the pressures of real life, forget the deeply memorable past events, forget the pain deep in your heart...
