Real Mountain Rock Climbing and Cave Exploration: This Is the Only Way to Enjoy a Guilin Vacation!

Guilin's scenery is unparalleled under heaven. Anyone who has been to Guilin will agree with this vivid praise. The poetic and picturesque landscapes have long made Guilin a famous tourist destination. However, most visitors to Guilin still follow the traditional sightseeing and check-in style, just like my first visit a few years ago: taking a bamboo raft on the Li River and Yulong River, strolling through Yangshuo's West Street, and eating a bowl of Guilin rice noodles—that was my Guilin experience. In reality, that only scratches the surface and isn't deep enough. This time, I specially arranged a four-day, three-night vacation. I went rock climbing on Guilin's real mountains, explored uniquely shaped karst caves, and exercised on a vast lawn surrounded by peaks. It was truly an immersive trip reveling in Guilin's landscapes, and it was a lot of fun.

Ever since I stayed at a Club Med resort in Sanya, I've fallen in love with the ultra-convenient all-inclusive model. After checking out information about Club Med Guilin online, I became extremely eager. Although I had already seen many introductions before coming, I was still stunned by the beauty of Club Med Guilin's landscapes upon arrival. Unfortunately, it was overcast for several days in a row. If the weather had been good, with the calm lake reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and surrounding peaks, the feeling would have been even more wonderful.

How many resorts can boast an area of 8,000 acres of stunning landscapes? Club Med Guilin, nestled in a picturesque scroll of mountains and waters, is surrounded by over 50 beautiful peaks with breathtaking scenery. Staying here, you can fully enjoy Guilin's natural beauty without even stepping outside.

This resort is located in a prime spot between Guilin and Yangshuo, less than an hour's drive from Guilin Liangjiang Airport. The scenery along the way from the airport is beautiful, and entering the resort is even more impressive. The resort is huge, featuring real mountains and waters, an outdoor pool, a beach, a golf course, and more. It takes an hour to walk around. If you don't want to walk, there's no need to worry—there are electric sightseeing cars available on call to take you anywhere within the resort.

I have to recommend Club Med's unique vacation model again. This French-born resort brand, founded in 1950, has a 70-year history. It is favored by family and parent-child vacationers for its 'refined all-inclusive' worry-free vacation concept. All-inclusive means that booking a room covers three meals a day, afternoon tea, drinks, and a wide range of leisure activities. However, Club Med's advantage goes beyond all-inclusive; it also features unique G.O service. G.O stands for 'Gentle Organizer,' and they are the staff serving guests, present everywhere in the resort. These versatile G.Os arrange your vacation life, take care of children, serve as technical support for various activities, and perform on the evening entertainment stage. Only by staying at Club Med can you truly understand and love this vacation model.

Upon entering the lobby of Club Med Guilin, warm G.Os greet you at the door, offering welcome drinks and sanitized towels—very thoughtful. Through the large floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the lobby, you can admire the layered peaks. Staying here feels completely immersed in nature.

In addition to Guilin's natural landscapes, the resort itself, both inside and outside, is dotted with hundreds of contemporary art sculptures. The mountain and water views complement the sculptures. My companion said it felt like the sculpture park in Hakone, Japan.

While I was photographing these sculptures, a little girl playing nearby voluntarily told me that she loved it here so much she didn't want to go home. Children naturally express genuine affection. The resort's abundant activities are definitely a great place to avoid crowds and entertain kids.

A major feature of Club Med is that each resort has a 'Mini Club' where children can be left. Under the guidance of professional G.Os, kids can play games and do crafts together, having a great time. Parents can be completely free to enjoy a relaxed vacation without worrying about the kids.

G.Os also guide children in various activities, such as trapeze, archery, and foot golf. I saw that the G.Os were very patient, treating the kids not as children but as friends.

Outdoor rock climbing on real mountains is the most representative leisure activity at Club Med Guilin. The small climbing hill is within the resort. With professional G.O guidance and encouragement, everyone can participate and safely challenge themselves.

Trapeze is a must-have activity at Club Med and one of the most popular sports. Both adults and children can try it. Climbing high and grabbing the bar to leap requires both courage and skill, but don't worry—the professional G.Os will teach you the tricks and stay with you, cheering you on!

Playing trapeze is quite thrilling. My companions did it over and over again. For someone like me with a fear of heights, just watching is enough.

Outdoor activities also include a golf driving range, archery range, tennis, badminton, basketball, mountain biking, and local cooking classes.

As everyone knows, Guilin gets a lot of rain. If you encounter rainy weather during your vacation and can't do outdoor activities, there's no need to worry. Club Med Guilin has a 900-square-meter indoor activity center, with indoor rock climbing and indoor trapeze as regular features.

There's also an indoor basketball court, VR experience, table tennis room, gym, yoga room, and more. Whether it's rainy or sunny, you can have fun.

The cave exploration mentioned earlier is one of Club Med Guilin's off-resort excursions and requires an additional booking. Taking a rugged off-road vehicle to the cave, even though it's a short distance, you can still enjoy different scenery along the way.

Inside the cave, you can observe various forms of stalactites, stalagmites, stalactite columns, and stone flowers—natural karst formations that inspire awe at nature's craftsmanship.

If you have a large group, you can even organize a party in this big cave, enjoying food and wine. Such a fun tour is truly unique.

Guilin, famous for its karst landforms, not only has numerous beautiful peaks but also many uniquely shaped caves. Although I've visited Guilin many times, this was my first time entering a cave here. It was a special and worthwhile experience.

Every evening, the resort holds a wonderful entertainment show with different themes and programs, all equally lively and exciting. This young man performed acrobatics with considerable difficulty. I had seen him quietly rehearsing during the day.

During the day, they are professional G.O instructors for the trapeze team. At night, they perform aerial shows on stage, executing a series of difficult moves that earn warm applause and cheers.

The joyful evening shows also feature themes loved by children, like drawing an 'Ultraman' on the back of the hand and participating in various fun games to win prizes and have a great time.

If you love sports, you can do many interesting activities on the large lawn surrounded by mountains at Club Med Guilin: from Tai Chi and morning yoga to color runs, outdoor fitness classes, swimming lessons, and more. Through these joyful and fun sports, you can loosen up your stiff body, release stress and desires in a sweat-drenched atmosphere, listen to the dialogue between body and mind, and 'ignite' a new self with a more flexible posture!

Club Med is a French resort brand founded in 1950 with a 70-year history. At the themed dinner for the anniversary celebration, the buffet was even richer than usual, with unlimited servings of various seafood and large crab legs, as well as themed cakes and desserts.

The main restaurant, Atelier, is an international buffet restaurant with a dazzling array of food covering your three meals a day. If you want something different, you can also book the Mongolian restaurant or Lotus restaurant for free. Outside regular meal times, there is a 'noodle bar' and afternoon tea.

The main bar has a great atmosphere and offers a variety of carefully mixed drinks. Whether day or night, you can enjoy them freely.

The beauty of all-inclusive is that you don't have to worry about what to eat or play on vacation. Family members of different ages can find what they like to eat and play, just fully enjoy the vacation.
