On March 12, 2021, around 13:30, I took a bus to Yulong River in Yangshuo and photographed the natural scenery along both banks of the Yulong River as well as the sea of rapeseed flowers. Every spring in March, rapeseed flowers bloom competitively in various parts of Guilin. Along both sides of the Yulong River, there is a pastoral landscape. 3,000 mu of continuous rapeseed flowers bloom among the mountains and waters. The rapeseed flowers are brightly colored, like a golden carpet, and the entire flower sea has a strong visual impact. The golden rapeseed flowers, with the mountains and waters reflecting each other, create a very beautiful scene.

The Yulong River is the longest tributary of the Li River within Yangshuo. The peaks on both sides are elegant and undulating, the river water is clear as a mirror, and you can easily take landscape painting-like photos. Compared with the scenery of the Li River, the scenery of the Yulong River is more gentle, and it is known as the 'Little Li River'. The Yulong River is a beautiful river, famous for its green mountains, clear waters, bamboo groves, unique bridges, and quaint villages. It is a rare beauty in Guilin's landscape.

When the weather is clear, the river water is as clear as a mirror; when it rains, the rain and mist shroud the peaks, creating an ink-wash landscape painting.

The Yulong River is clear all year round, with a slow flow, and has 28 weirs. This is a popular small weir. I saw someone riding a motorcycle across it, and someone else taking off their shoes and walking barefoot. I need to remind everyone to be careful when playing there. It is submerged by river water all year round, so it is covered with moss, very slippery. Don't accidentally fall into the Yulong River for a bath.

'Chaoyang Dock' is a dock on the Yulong River. You can take a boat to drift from here. The nearby pastoral scenery is beautiful and pleasant. The part above Chaoyang Dock is called the upstream, and the part below is called the downstream.

Today is a cloudy day. Although it didn't rain, clouds drifted over from the mountains from time to time. Unlike the common fog, the clouds and mist over the Yulong River had varying shades, very similar to the ink-splashing effect in traditional Chinese painting.

The entire Yulong River scenic area has no trace of artificial carving. Everything is so primitive, natural, simple, and pure. It is truly the largest purely natural landscape area in Guilin.

Legend has it that a long time ago, a dragon from the East China Sea came on a tour and saw such a splendid scene. Feeling that the East China Sea was eclipsed, it hid here and never left. At night, this dragon would surface to greedily admire the beautiful scenery, and later it occasionally snuck out during the day. Many villagers had seen it, hence the name Yulong River (Encountering Dragon River).

Next to the Yulong River is a large expanse of rapeseed flowers, echoing with the mountain scenery, making people intoxicated.

The Yulong River is very tranquil, with green mountains and clear waters. Rapeseed flowers are planted along the walkways on both sides. The golden rapeseed flowers, with the mountains and waters reflecting each other, create a very beautiful scene.

Along both banks, there is a pastoral landscape. 3,000 mu of continuous rapeseed flowers are spread among the mountains and waters, like a golden carpet.

Enjoying the flowers and spring scenery here is truly comfortable.

Karst landform, stalagmite-like peak forests stand tall. Beautiful or not, see for yourself.

The most popular check-in spot at Yangshuo Jiuxian Dock.

Walking along the Yulong River walkway to enjoy the rapeseed flowers is free, no ticket needed.

Now is the blooming season of rapeseed flowers. You can not only visit the world-famous beautiful landscape but also appreciate the blooming, beautiful, and bright rapeseed flowers. You can also hike along the field paths of the Yulong River, with the spring breeze refreshing you, green mountains and clear waters accompanying you, and endless pastoral scenery.

Cycling on the picturesque walkway feels like entering a fairyland, floating on air!

It is a very worthwhile place to visit. Choosing to cycle or hike is a good option. Especially the Yulong River in spring, it is really beautiful! When you come to Guilin, it is a pity not to visit the Li River; when you come to Yangshuo, it is even more regrettable not to see the Yulong River.
