If the gods had a private paradise, it would surely be Guilin; the world-famous karst peak forest spectacle is magnificent. In childhood, my Chinese teacher strongly recommended Guilin's landscapes, and my geography teacher introduced the karst landforms and multi-ethnic culture.

Now, in the era of short videos, we are constantly drawn to the exquisite images of Guilin and increasingly want to visit this destination to experience a different vacation atmosphere.

When coming to Yangshuo in Guilin, besides the usual activities of sightseeing and water play: visiting mountains (Elephant Trunk Hill, Moon Hill), playing in water (Li River, Yulong River), exploring caves (Silver Cave), night tours (Two Rivers and Four Lakes), watching performances…

Now, there’s an even more exciting new option: the Guilin Sunac International Tourism Resort opens today! Taking over the summer vacation, families can have a blast amidst the world’s intangible cultural heritage landscapes—super cool!

The resort is located between Guilin and Yangshuo, enhanced by karst landscapes, with a beauty that ranks it first among Sunac’s 14 cultural tourism cities.

Covering about 4,000 mu (approx. 660 acres), with an investment of about 16 billion RMB,

featuring the Sea World, Water World,

Happy Tribe, Magnificent Li River Song…

All year round, it fully upgrades the joy of a city.

One-stop for eating, staying, playing, having fun, traveling, and shopping,

allowing you to revel in the landscapes and find delight beyond them!

Within the resort’s hotel cluster, there are two ethnic-minority-themed hotels:

Guilin Sunac Wanda Wenhua Hotel (Dong ethnic style)

Guilin Sunac Wanda Jiahua Hotel (Yao ethnic style)

Both share 470,000 square meters of landscape beauty, including:

350,000 square meters of greenery,

8 karst hills, and 120,000 square meters of landscape lakes…

While staying, you can also learn about minority cultures.

Guilin Sunac Wanda Wenhua Hotel

The hotel officially opened today! A pure villa hotel, injecting new vitality into Guilin’s high-end hotel scene. Located at the border of Guilin and Yangshuo, it’s a great transit point for visiting both cities.

Guilin Sunac Wanda Jiahua Hotel

Always known for high cost performance, this one is no exception. Separated from the Wenhua Hotel by a lake. Its design, location, and amenities feature Yao village characteristics—it opened last December.

Below, Meizhanjun will reveal in depth: two hotels + three theme parks!

Guilin Sunac Wanda Wenhua Hotel

A villa hotel nestled among mountains and waters

A heavyweight addition to Guilin’s luxury hotel scene

Showcasing the Dong ethnic elements of minority culture

This is the second Wanda-branded hotel to open in the Guilin Sunac International Tourism Resort. Opposite the Jiahua Hotel, it also enjoys unique landscape views.

The exterior was designed by Wanda Hotel Design Institute, inspired by the distinctive architectural features of the Dong people: “five-tiered eaves,” “pagoda-shaped towers,” “black tiles and white eaves,” with strong ethnic characteristics.

Arriving by bamboo raft offers endless scenic beauty

A refreshing Dong village-style courtyard design

The hotel’s entrance method is unique—by waterway.

After entering through the mountain gate, you take a bamboo raft from the water dock and drift down, sightseeing along the way, passing bridges, pavilions, and folk dwellings… with layered ink-wash landscape paintings in the distance.

Upon entering the hotel, it feels like stepping into a Dong village-style courtyard. From the moment you arrive, a personal butler provides full service.

The lobby ceiling features lines inspired by the Dong wind-rain bridge, assembled with mortise and tenon joints, with a central axis sequence of courtyards and covered bridges that are varied, appearing solemn and elegant.

The three-sided floor-to-ceiling glass curtain walls surrounding the lobby create a dream factory of light and shadow. Natural light passes through the glass dome and wooden louvered blinds, creating a beautiful dappled effect—this is the brilliance of a top-tier hotel design.

The lobby interior uses natural wood materials and marble, and the front desk features a large landscape painting. Constantly reminding you that you are in Guilin, renowned for its landscapes.

Details include Dong brocade patterns, characteristic chandeliers, and root carving decorations, allowing you to appreciate the charm of China’s diverse ethnic cultures.

99 villas in simple Dong village style

Nestled against the mountain and along the lake, with quiet private courtyards

The Dong people favor white, so the courtyard exteriors are white walls and green tiles. Whether a one-bedroom or two-bedroom villa, each has a quiet private courtyard.

The guest rooms incorporate many cultural elements favored by the Dong people, such as natural materials like wood, cotton, linen, and rattan. The structure features “hanging floor” beams and sloping roofs.

Brightly colored cushions and bed runners are adorned with auspicious bird, gourd string, and other totems, along with chandeliers and white window curtains—great for photos.

Three restaurants offer diverse cuisine

A feast for the taste buds amid the landscapes

Pin Zhen Chinese Restaurant, on the second floor, excels at extracting the essence of Cantonese and Guangxi cuisine, using local seasonal ingredients to create high-end dishes that are “pure but not bland, fresh but not vulgar.” With the magnificent landscape views outside, dining here feels like cultivating immortality.

Ji Wei All-Day Dining Restaurant, on the first floor, features panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the landscape views.

The Lobby Lounge, on the second floor of the main building, boasts a 360-degree viewing platform. Enjoy the mountains and water while sipping tea and chatting—very pleasant.

Recreation options are similar to those at Jiahua: the resort’s Sea World, Water World, Happy Tribe, folk song and dance shows, and Lijiang Houhai Commercial Town offer endless fun for the whole family.

In addition, there is an outdoor swimming pool. Activities include cycling around the lake, cave exploration, kayaking, bamboo rafting on the water, a children’s playroom, outdoor lawn, gym, and indoor heated pool.

Guilin Sunac Wanda Jiahua Hotel

Yao ethnic characteristics, unfolding karst landscape scrolls

Absorbing the essence of Guilin and Yangshuo’s landscapes

Enjoying a wide-angle view of Guilin’s scenery

Located at the junction of Guilin and Yangshuo, this hotel is an ideal base if you want to visit both places. It’s about 50 km from Liangjiang Airport or Yangshuo, with shuttle service available.

The hotel is part of the Guilin Sunac International Tourism Resort, one of the Guilin Sunac hotel group members. It opened on December 27 last year! Perfect for enjoying the resort’s Sea World, Water World, Happy Tribe, etc.

The entire hotel is built against the mountain, embracing the terrain, curving and turning in a linear shape along the lake, covering 46,000 square meters.

Inside and out, the hotel incorporates Guilin’s characteristic elements: the lobby features a “herringbone” shaped dwelling, stilted architecture, reflecting the local Yao ethnic style. Chandeliers incorporate the shapes of ethnic headdresses and musical instruments.

The backdrop wall features the Li River painting school, ten-mile gallery. Close observation reveals many local famous scenic spots.

The walls use local stone, and the pillar decorations incorporate Dong brocade patterns.

300 Yao village-style guest rooms

Each with a private landscape-view balcony

The Yao village-style rooms are refreshing. The room roof matches the lobby, with hanging beam frames and sloping roof structures. What attracts me most are the Yao-style decorative patterns on pillows, headboards, tabletops, and murals.

Room sizes start from 40 sqm, including Deluxe Mountain View Room (40 sqm), Deluxe Lake View Room (40 sqm), Family Lake View Suite (60 sqm), Deluxe Lake View Suite (80 sqm)… Most rooms have lake views.

Each room has a viewing balcony, either separate mountain view or landscape view, equipped with Wanda Jiahua bed and Dream Sleep series items. The bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, a walk-in rain shower, and the double bed rooms have a bathtub. Extra beds and children’s beds are available.

The hotel also prepares themed children’s rooms for families: A’li Children’s Room (40 sqm) and Octonauts Children’s Room (40 sqm), both with bathtubs.

A’li Children’s Room is pink, suitable for girls. Octonauts Children’s Room is blue, suitable for boys. From large items like backdrop walls, tents, carpets to small items like stuffed toys, pillows, towels, non-slip stools, lamps, and decorative paintings, all feature cute themed elements—thoughtful!

Conveniently, both children’s rooms are adjacent to Deluxe Lake View King connecting rooms, allowing both family time and couple time.

Three restaurants all embrace green mountains and clear waters

Enjoying 120,000 sqm of landscape lake

Feng Nian Ting All-Day Dining Restaurant is on the first floor. Before entering, the silhouette of a Yao girl on the corridor outside is beautiful. Inside, the restaurant presents a lively Yao market culture scene; floor-to-ceiling windows blur the indoor-outdoor boundary, bringing in large views of green mountains and clear waters.

You can also sit in the outdoor dining area, roaming among the landscapes while enjoying a rich selection of Chinese, Western, and Guangxi specialty dishes—pure bliss.

Lin Hu Xiao Guan, on the second floor, is the hotel’s Chinese restaurant. True to its name, it offers excellent lake views. It specializes in traditional Cantonese cuisine and Guilin flavors, including signature dishes like beer fish.

The Lobby Lounge on the third floor features rustic Yao-style interiors that photograph well. Enjoy afternoon tea, drinks, and snacks while admiring the picturesque scenery.

Both inside and outside the hotel, there are parent-child interactive facilities, such as cycling around the lake amid beautiful landscapes, kayaking and paddleboarding… playing in the children’s entertainment center and on the outdoor lawn, capturing joyful moments amidst laughter.

Next to the children’s entertainment center is a fitness center (with yoga area) and an indoor heated swimming pool. Through the pool’s floor-to-ceiling windows, you can also see the lake.
