Guilin's Scenery Is the Best Under Heaven: Exploring the Local Customs of Guangxi

"Give me one day, and I'll give you a thousand years" is the slogan of the Guilin Yangshuo Eternal Love Scenic Area. The Guilin Eternal Love Scenic Area is composed of the performance "Eternal Love of Guilin", the God of Wealth Temple, the Ancient City Wall of Jingjiang, the Ancient Village of Yangshuo, No. 3 Secret Realm, and No. 4 Bay. It is a comprehensive scenic spot integrating performances, amusement parks, folk custom streets, night market bars, and temples.

Entering the scenic area, sixteen totem poles stand tall on both sides of the Century Avenue at the main entrance. These totem poles are engraved with 10,000 years of Guilin's history. Compared with other Eternal Love scenic spots, the unique feature here is that the iconic goddess statue is surrounded by the distinctive southern Karst landforms, rising abruptly from the ground, graceful and beautiful.

Looking further ahead, the world's largest statue of Liu Sanjie, the four-sided statue of the song fairy Liu Sanjie, stands before you. Liu Sanjie is a legendary figure known for her singing and dancing, and her character has been widely spread across China and even Southeast Asia.

Walking into the Ancient Village of Yangshuo, you will find a unique farming and market life atmosphere. On Shijing Street and Fengqing Street, craft workshops such as Grandpa's Wine Jar, Grandma's Pastries, and Dad's Toys preserve nostalgia and recall the memories of the older generation. The snack street gathers distinctive foods from Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan, and other regions across the country. The scenic Lover's Harbor is a popular photo spot for young people.

The program schedule is quite rich, with exciting performances at any time, including the Lion King Competition, Ethnic Flash Mob, Guo Zhuang Carnival, and many more.

The entire "Eternal Love of Guilin" performance is divided into five parts, vividly interpreting Guilin's beautiful landscapes and rich ethnic culture.

Part 1: "Call of the Ancient"

A necessary part of every theater, it shows the process of local ancestors exploring and conquering the local natural environment.

Part 2: "Songs Flying Over the Land"

In the fields of Guangxi, multiple ethnic groups live together, including Zhuang, Yao, Dong, Miao, and Yi. They bond through graceful dances and sing harmonious and beautiful lives through folk songs.

Part 3: "Rice Noodles Convey Love"

During the Qin Dynasty's conquest of Baiyue, Sister Ying, in order to let her son working on the Lingqu Canal eat a taste of hometown noodles, eventually invented Guilin rice noodles. This scene gives a situational display of the local specialty snack. The plot is touching, and the climax is reached when a 6-meter-long rice noodle descends from the sky, pushing the whole atmosphere to a high point.

Part 4: "Prince's Mansion of Jingjiang"

This is the most famous historical site in Guilin (the residence of Zhu Shouqian of the Ming Dynasty). On stage, through audiences from friendly neighboring countries, the beauty of Arab, Southeast Asian, and other regions is fully displayed, and the aurora acrobatic show is skillfully integrated!

Part 5: "Searching for Liu Sanjie"

This is my favorite scene. The actors perform excellently, cleverly and lively, with authentic mountain song responses. It is exactly the confident and free-spirited image of Liu Sanjie in my heart. At the end, she descends from the sky on a magic carpet, leaving a deep impression.

The most exciting summer event is the "Electronic Music Splashing Festival". The combination of stage lighting and sound effects, along with thrilling dance performances, dazzles the audience. Suddenly, a basin of water splashes on tourists, instantly igniting the excitement on site.
