Yangshuo One-Day Tour
Yangshuo One-Day Tour: Yulong River - Ten-Mile Gallery - Ruyi Peak
1. Yulong River (located in Baisha Town, Yangshuo): Depart from Yangshuo at 8 a.m. to Shuiedi Pier on the Yulong River to take a bamboo raft.
I suggest renting an electric scooter (about 30-50 yuan per day). The scenery along the way unfolds before your eyes. Riding toward the Yulong River, the tree-lined paths are cool and pleasant, with the delightful chirping of cicadas and birds in the trees. There are many guesthouses on both sides. Surrounded by this picturesque beauty, my mood instantly lifted.
Ticket price: 160 yuan. Each bamboo raft carries two people. The raft trip covers about 3 kilometers and lasts about 50 minutes. The scenery is beautiful all along—green hills and clear waters with fresh air. The current is gentle, making for a very relaxing experience. You'll pass a few small steps where the raft slides down—remember to lift your feet!
The entire Yulong River scenic area has no modern buildings, no artificial traces, and no urban noise. Everything is primitive, natural, rustic, and pure. It is the largest pure natural landscape area in Guilin. Sitting on the bamboo raft, drifting quietly on the Yulong River, the scenery on both banks slowly moves backward. It truly calms the mind. Why not take some time to daydream and think about the future? Guilin's landscape is the best in the world, and Yangshuo's landscape is the best in Guilin. While the Li River's scenery is beautiful, I prefer the gentle charm of the Yulong River.
After cycling around the Yulong River until noon, I found a small shop, had a bowl of Guilin rice noodles, took a short rest, and continued to the next stop.
Around 1 p.m., I set off from Gongnong Bridge toward Gaotian to continue exploring the Ten-Mile Gallery.
2. Ten-Mile Gallery: This is a scenic stretch along Highway 321 in the southern part of Yangshuo. Along the road, there are stunning peaks and pastoral landscapes. The mountains on both sides are continuous, and the scenery is picturesque. The road is asphalt, and many people choose to ride bicycles to tour the area. Riding briskly, breathing in the fresh air while enjoying the roadside scenery, the experience is wonderful.
It includes many attractions such as Butterfly Spring, Big Banyan Tree, Totem Ancient Path, Nine-Mile Flower Sea, and Moon Hill... Many of these require entrance fees. Riding an electric scooter and touring slowly makes for a great experience.
At around 4 p.m., I continued onward. I heard Ruyi Peak is quite good, so I decided to check it out. Take the high-altitude cable car to overlook the magnificent peak forest of Guilin!
3. Ruyi Peak (located in Gaotian Town, Yangshuo): Arrived at 5 p.m. to pick up the ticket. At 7 p.m., watched the sunset at Ruyi Cloud Top—absolutely stunning.
Ticket price: 260 yuan (online price 240 yuan). It includes round-trip cable car, Ruyi Suspension Bridge, Ruyi Cloud Top, Glass Walkway, and Forest Stroll Path.
The cable car distance is 2012 meters, taking about 15 minutes to reach the top. Riding the cable car up, you get a panoramic view of the majestic peaks.
Walk 10 minutes to the Ruyi Suspension Bridge. Standing on the bridge with a gentle breeze, it sways slightly. The bridge rails are covered with prayer ribbons fluttering in the wind—beautiful!
Continue for another 20 minutes to Sky Mirror, where I met some girls dancing—another scenic delight. Soon after, I arrived at Ruyi Cloud Top, the highest point of Ruyi Peak. It's a 360-degree viewing platform, a sacred place for prayer and the best spot to overlook the peak forest!
Afterthought: Ruyi Peak is worth visiting. Enjoying such beautiful scenery suddenly makes life feel infinitely wonderful!
