Planning to choose London as your Spring Festival travel destination? Then The London Pass recommends three top attractions for you to experience authentic British style.

As a world-famous London landmark, the Tower Bridge spanning the River Thames is definitely a must-visit.

Named after the nearby Tower of London, Tower Bridge has been a symbol of London since its completion in 1894. Its two towers at each end are built of granite and steel, standing 60 meters high; the bridge body is divided into upper and lower levels, with the upper level being a 43-meter-high glass walkway. Standing on it, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the magnificent scenery on both sides of the Thames. The lower level is used for vehicle traffic. When large ships pass through, people start the machinery inside the main towers to separate and raise the two sides of the lower deck to let the ships through.

Besides being an impressive architectural gem in itself, Tower Bridge also houses a museum that tells its history and development over the years through various exhibits.

St Paul's Cathedral

Having hosted many important events such as royal weddings (e.g., the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana), baptisms, and state funerals, St Paul's Cathedral plays an indispensable role in London's history. At the same time, it is the fifth largest cathedral in the world and the second largest in the UK.

Not only does it convey a solemn atmosphere, but St Paul's Cathedral also has a unique architectural style. Its huge dome is 111 meters high and 34 meters in diameter, sitting directly above the crossing of the Latin cross plan, making it the most magnificent part of the entire building. Moreover, above the main door, a stone statue of St Paul stands on the pediment, and the bell towers at both ends are symmetrical.

The interior of the cathedral is solemn and ornate, with the arched nave supported by square stone pillars. Each bay and window is treated in the same style, and there are beautiful paintings and murals on the ceiling. From the Whispering Gallery, you can climb up a staircase to the top of the dome and overlook the cityscape.

The largest, oldest, and still-in-use castle in the world today, and the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen – these titles alone should spark your interest in this castle!

Located on an artificial hill on the south bank of the River Thames, Windsor Castle was founded by William I in 1070. It has served as the residence of 39 monarchs, condensing over 900 years of British history.

Here, you can visit Windsor Castle in order from the Upper Ward to the Lower Ward. The Upper Ward in the east is the private residence of the royal family, including the King's and Queen's dining rooms, drawing rooms, ballroom, audience chamber, and sitting rooms, famous for its collection of royal paintings and treasures. The Middle Ward is dominated by the Round Tower (when the Royal Standard flies over the Round Tower, it indicates that the Queen is in the castle), surrounded by dense rose gardens. The Lower Ward in the west is the entrance from the River Thames to Windsor Castle, where the plain-looking but stunning interior St George's Chapel stands.

In addition, the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle is a sight not to be missed. From August to March every other day, and from April to July daily (except Sundays), soldiers dressed in bright red traditional uniforms and bearskin hats march from the main street to the castle for the changing of the guard. The entire ceremony starts at 11:00 am and lasts about 30 minutes, accompanied by a live band.

Castle Address: Windsor Berkshire SL4 1NJ

Visiting Hours: March 1 to October 31: 10:00 - 17:15; November 1 to February 28: 10:00 - 16:15; closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
