12-Day Group Tour of Egypt: Cairo, Alexandria, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor, Nile Cruise!
Why go to Egypt in the hottest month of July
As soon as people heard we were going to Egypt in the scorching July, no one approved, and some friends even joked that we must have lost our minds.
I have a very, very strong Egypt complex, because among the four ancient civilizations, only Egypt has tangible things to see. The Pyramids, Abu Simbel Temple, Karnak Temple, the Nile, the Aswan Dam โ these familiar names that ring in my ears have long been etched in my mind. Unfortunately, right when I was planning to travel independently to Egypt, a coup occurred, and for safety reasons, I had to give up.
According to the plan at the beginning of the year, last year's travel destination was Italy and the Balkans, a total of 40 days. Due to changes in the new Schengen visa policy, fingerprint collection was required, and the specific visa procedures and processing times were not yet certain. I had been staying in Australia. Since I am not a permanent resident of Australia, I could not apply for a Schengen visa at the Italian embassy in Australia; I could only submit it after returning to Beijing from Australia at the end of June. I was not absolutely sure I could obtain the Schengen visa, so I did not dare to buy plane tickets rashly. By the time the new Schengen visa policy was fully clarified, flight tickets and hotels had become quite expensive. Reluctantly, I had to abandon the original plan.
In early June, I saw a product for a July trip to Egypt. I felt the itinerary and price were acceptable, but the high temperatures of 39โ46ยฐC during the day were a bit daunting. My husband, who was born and raised in Wuhan, said he could handle the heat โ after all, in those days without air conditioning, the people of Wuhan got through it. I am afraid of heat, but Egypt was a place I had longed for. Choosing a day is not as good as meeting a day. Since my husband was so determined, I thought, let's go!
Either read or travel โ the soul and body must have one on the road.
And so, our first trip to Africa began, and it meant an extraordinary cultural journey through Egypt.
If you don't truly love Egyptian civilization or love travel, it is absolutely hard to endure.
I must say, everything in Egypt was so wonderful. Although we were deceived and overcharged, compared to the great Egyptian civilization, everything can be laughed off.
I love Egypt, and I love the great ancient Egyptian civilization even more!
