Jishan’s Most Stylish, Full-Service, and Professional Hotel
Our company is fortunate to have a long-term partnership with Dongfang Resources in Jishan, Shanxi. Due to the nature of our work, we need to regularly transport and maintain equipment for the mill over long periods. The drive from Zhengzhou in the Central Plains is nearly 400 kilometers to Jishan, Shanxi. Jishan is a small county town, not far from Yunqiu Mountain, with a less developed economy and few restaurants to our taste. After getting out of the car, we randomly found a small eatery to grab a quick bite. The key was to find a hotel with a rich breakfast, convenient parking, easy invoicing, and suitable for long stays at a fair price. On a friend's suggestion, I opened Ctrip to look. There weren’t many hotels listed; either cheap but grubby little inns or places stuck in a 1990s outdated decor — none were satisfying. Just as I was about to exit and ask my friend, I noticed the Hongda Youpin Meisu Hotel. The photos looked quite tasteful, the facilities appeared new, and there was a familiar vibe, reminiscent of chains like Homeinns Business, Thankyou Inn, Lanou Hotel, or Chaoman Hotel. Curious, I followed the navigation to the hotel. As soon as we arrived, a front desk staff member came out to guide us into a parking spot and opened the door to welcome us — so enthusiastic and professional. Although their Mandarin wasn't perfect, the warmth was palpable. The lobby temperature was also perfect; even in winter it was 28°C, creating a scene of spring-like warmth inside the hotel while the world outside was wrapped in snowy white. Registration at the front desk was strict, and they reminded us to call if we needed anything in the room. At that moment, a middle-aged man came to the front desk and warmly showed us to our room, carefully telling us the WiFi account and password (which, we later learned, was the boss helping out during peak hours). I have to say, each room has its own independent WiFi, and using our laptops caused no interference — the speed was very fast. Just then, the phone rang: it was the robot delivering an extra power strip. A call from the front desk followed, explaining that the boss saw us carrying laptops and, worried our cables might be short, specially sent one! Honestly, the service was incredibly thoughtful! First, a big thank you! Now, about the bedding: the bed was very comfortable, the mattress neither too soft nor too hard — ideal for people with our kind of work! The cleanliness was also excellent, the shower pressure was strong, and the water temperature just right. The washbasin even featured a smart mirror, very stylish. In the blink of an eye, I noticed the toilet had a smart seat and a heated toilet seat cover (which was so comfortable that after returning home, I bought a set for my own place). After a tiring journey, I took a shower and went to bed early.
The next day, needing to head to the factory, I got up early and went to the first-floor restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant wasn’t large but had everything you needed. The breakfast spread was quite rich: two stir-fried dishes, two staples, plus eggs, sausages, whole grains, fresh milk, freshly ground soy milk, and more — all made with real ingredients, hygienic, clean, and delicious! After that meal, I felt full of energy for the day ahead. From our earlier conversation, the boss knew we usually stayed for longer periods and thoughtfully informed us that the hotel had a laundry room — another pleasant surprise that solved a pressing need. Their laundry room is user-friendly, with two automatic washing machines, one old-style washing machine, a dryer, and a washbasin. Later, I asked the boss why they kept an old-style washer. He said the hotel welcomes guests of all ages, and that old-style machine was specially provided for elderly guests not familiar with automatic machines. Hats off to the attentive boss and considerate service!
I've said a lot today. There are many more stories about this hotel's service and the boss's thoughtfulness — perhaps another time! I highly recommend anyone in need to come and experience it for themselves!
