The Best Hotel in My Eyes
The best hotel I've ever known. My child is 6 months old, and my husband is incredibly busy. After all, for a living we came from the south to Jishan, Shanxi to work! My husband is a skilled worker; he's busy on the construction site every day while I take care of the baby. As the baby grows a bit and becomes less obedient, we had a fight over parenting. In a fit of anger, he yelled at me and the baby and kicked us out of the house!!
Where could I go, a stranger with a child? It was getting dark; I needed to find a hotel to stay. I had no ID, only 200 yuan in my pocket. What was I to do? There was a Hongda Youpin Hotel by the park. I decided to give it a try and ask. At the front desk, a man and a woman told me the price—almost in tears, I heard the room rate was 178 yuan, or 150 with a membership. But I only had 200. What if the baby needed something? Helpless, I could only sit on the roadside and cry! Just then, the girl from the front desk came to me and said, "The boss says you're a woman from out of town with a child; you must be in a tough spot. Can you accept 150?" Honestly, my eyes were moist!
When I went back to the front desk, the boss asked, "Is there anything I can help you with?" At that moment, in that setting, I couldn't hold back my tears. The boss warmly arranged a room for me. Later, the girl from the front desk even knocked on my door to ask if I needed anything else—a kettle, milk powder, and so on! My feelings at that time were beyond words!! In the end, my husband and a neighbor, with the hotel's cooperation, found me! The next morning at breakfast, I saw the boss greeting my husband! They even provided a baby chair! Although I can't do anything for them, from the bottom of my heart I want to praise their hotel. Perhaps more people will receive help there!!
