Across the Vast Desert | Damuren's First Gobi Trek 70km Challenge

In September 2020, Damuren Animal Husbandry, at the invitation of Weilan Biology, joined hands to enter the ancient city of Dunhuang and the Gobi, embarking on a 2-day, 70km Gobi challenge.

For an individual, trekking is a challenge to unlock potential and break through mental limits.

For a team, trekking is an extraordinary journey to activate the organization and breakthrough leadership.

The "Boundless Journey, Boundless Mind" Gobi Trek 70km Challenge, with the spirit of Xuanzang at its core and the vast Gobi as its theme, allows the team to measure ideals with their steps, practice self through action, and achieve transcendence with perseverance.

How to discern trends under uncertain factors and different challenging environments is a lesson; how to lead the team to overcome obstacles and achieve goals is a deep-level course of self-dialogue and self-reflection; how to align with the team while walking and fight side by side is also a lesson. The Gobi Challenge is a course of cultivation, where practicing through trekking is far more impactful than sitting in a classroom listening.

For this Gobi Challenge, the Fantasy Journey team also made thorough preparations, ensuring that the participating teams fully experience the spirit of Xuanzang in the Gobi while also emphasizing safety guarantees to safeguard the enterprises.

Each participating team is like an enterprise, and the vast, boundless Gobi is like the market, full of uncertainty. Whether the strategy is reasonable, whether the actual execution is in place, and whether it can adapt flexibly to unexpected events all determine whether good results can be achieved in the Gobi.

Life requires constant summarization and improvement. A lone traveler moves fast, but travelers together go far. In this Gobi Trek 70km Challenge, the team spirit was fully brought into play, starting together and arriving together. While trekking in the Gobi, one must also reflect and consider the possible impact of the walk on future work and life.

2 days, 70km: 11 teams from 6 enterprises—Damuren Animal Husbandry, Haiding Agriculture, Hemei Group, Jiujiu Hemu, Tianpu Sunshine, and Weilan Biology—set out from the Grand Canyon, walked through the salt-alkali land that sank with each step, passed through the wind-eroded small Yardang landforms, crossed the 3000-year-old poplar forests, and climbed over one dune after another... The real feelings the Gobi brought to the participants struck their hearts with the most direct visual impact.

Facing unknown challenges, the participants always used their perseverance and actions to explore their own limits, exploring together with the team, pooling collective wisdom to achieve the team's set goals. When tired and weary, they relied on willpower to carry on. In this Gobi expedition, they infected and transformed each other with a positive and optimistic attitude.

An individual can walk fast, but not as far as a team. Every step taken together by the team not only brings them closer to the distance but also takes life a step further. In the Gobi, every participant is the warmest and most reliable support for each other, the closest companions. While giving strength to teammates, it is also a journey of self-breakthrough, a process of meeting a better self.

In the 2-day, 70km Gobi Challenge, the participants overcame numerous obstacles, forged a path of glory through the uncertain Gobi, and completed a shocking and unforgettable journey of cultivation. To challenge oneself is to step out of the comfort zone, challenge the impossible, embrace the impossible, and stimulate one's inner potential with an optimistic and resilient attitude and spirit, achieving a breakthrough from the heart to behavior.

In the 2-day Gobi Trek 70km Challenge, it was not easy for everyone to complete it, but persistence requires courage. As long as one persists, even the most distant dreams can be reached.
