I've recently become obsessed with a hugely popular TV series 'Itaewon CLASS'. After watching the first episode, I got hungry! Know why? Because the show features too many trendy restaurants, making me drool over all that food.

The true 'main character' of this drama — Itaewon — is not a single shop but a street, and it's a genuine food hub. Known as the 'Little Earth Village', Itaewon gathers cuisines from around the world, and even celebrities come here to open and visit restaurants!

The prototype of the small shop 'Sweet Night' run by the male lead in 'Itaewon Class' is this Korean restaurant. The signboard shaped like a full moon, and the chestnut-headed cartoon character in the middle is the male lead from the webtoon. Riding on the popularity of the drama and webtoon, this restaurant is now incredibly hot.

Both inside and outside the shop, there are life-sized standees of the webtoon characters, making you want to take a认证照 (certification photo) with the characters from the webtoon or drama.

The food in the shop is classic Korean cuisine. Among the signature dishes on the menu, there really is the tofu soup that the male lead is best at making. If you're visiting as a pilgrimage to the filming location, this dish is a must-order.

Another worthwhile order is Korean Jinro soju. Although you can order it at almost any shop, clinking glasses in the same place as the drama characters at this specific spot is very satisfying.
