If you plan to travel to Seoul, South Korea for shopping, then a Seoul duty free shopping guide is a must! Everyone knows that Korea is a shopping paradise, but when it comes to getting the best deals, duty free shops are the way to go. So today, I’m sharing my Seoul duty free shopping guide – let's take a look together!

First, let me introduce the "main character" of today's Seoul duty free shopping guide – the Shinsegae Duty Free Myeongdong branch.

The Shinsegae Duty Free Myeongdong branch is adjacent to Seoul's popular tourist attractions, N Seoul Tower and Namdaemun Market, allowing you to enjoy shopping and travel at the same time. Shinsegae Duty Free is a subsidiary of Shinsegae, a major retail conglomerate in South Korea, and the duty free shop brings together numerous international brands and popular Korean brands.

Address: 8th–12th Floor, 77 Toegye-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul (Chungmuro 1-ga, Shinsegae Department Store)

Transportation: Take Subway Line 4, exit 5 of Myeongdong Station and walk straight for 100 meters, or exit 7 of Hoehyeon Station and walk straight for 100 meters.

Floors 1–7 are the Shinsegae Department Store; the duty free shop is located on floors 8–12! The biggest advantage here is the high-end environment. From luxury goods to internationally renowned cosmetics brands, Korean本土 cosmetics brands, and health supplements, there is a wide variety. They often hold promotional events, making shopping here very cost-effective. You can also find the duty free shop’s discount activities on various official platforms.

The product counters on each floor are very neatly arranged, the aisles are spacious, and there is no feeling of a noisy market. It feels just like shopping in the upscale department store downstairs!

In addition to Korean domestic brands, there are also many well-known foreign skincare products, with a huge variety.

Famous brand perfumes like CHLOE, PRADA, and MIU MIU are displayed in abundance, and there are also popular niche perfume brands like LOEWE.

3CE is one of my favorite Korean cosmetics brands. The product displays here are just as pink and lovely as in the brand’s own stores, with a full range of lipsticks and blushes in various shades.

The 8th floor is dedicated to international luxury brands. These luxury brands all have their own boutiques within the duty free shop, looking very upscale.

Premium watch brands like A. LANGE & SÖHNE are also available. I tried on the LANGE 1 white dial – doesn’t it look beautiful?

The GUCCI boutique blends vintage and modern design, looking both luxurious and contemporary. I want to own everything from their cosmetics and perfume lines!

Inside the store, there is a Y-shaped display made up of countless light bulbs, looking especially dazzling and eye-catching – I couldn’t resist the urge to walk over!

Health supplements like Jeonggwanjang, which are taken by almost everyone in Korea, make great gifts to bring back for friends and family.

The basement level 1 features a large supermarket and a food court. Buckwheat cold noodles are my favorite, and there are also croquettes – all very delicious!

Besides that, the 12th floor of Shinsegae Duty Free has a rooftop garden with a variety of greenery and sculptures that are pleasing to the eye, allowing you to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere even in the bustling city center. It's perfect for taking a break after shopping! Alright, that concludes my Seoul duty free shopping guide. What do you think?
