Having studied and worked in South Korea for over eight years since graduate school, when it comes to Seoul, the first thing that comes to mind is the crisscrossing subway lines. The Seoul subway is far-reaching. How do you get to Korean duty-free shops? For someone like me who loves shopping at Seoul duty-free stores, the most familiar line is Line 2. Line 2 is the core route of the Seoul subway, reaching both the commonly visited Dongdaemun and the Gangnam area. Next, I'll take everyone on Line 2 to go shopping at the Hyundai Department Store Duty Free in Seoul!

Over the past three years, Seoul's popular shopping destinations have shifted from Myeongdong along Line 2 towards Gangnam. Line 2 passes through countless famous large commercial districts, with major attractions densely distributed. From the well-known Myeongdong to the trendsetter hub of Dongdaemun, they all attract domestic and international tourists.

With the continuous development of the Seongsu commercial area, many trendy brand stores have moved in, and it has now become one of the most favored shopping spots for Seoul's fashionistas and young people. When it comes to Seoul's affluent districts, one cannot help but mention the Gangnam commercial area. Every store in Apgujeong has a unique design, and it is a shopping street often frequented by celebrities. As one of Korea's four major duty-free shops, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free has also become one of Seoul's hottest tourist shopping check-in spots. Line 2 and Gangnam have naturally become new landmarks for traveling in Seoul. Friends who want to go shopping at Seoul duty-free shops, let's set off immediately and enter Hyundai Department Store Duty Free together!

Take subway Line 2 to Samseong Station, exit from Gate 5, and after a few minutes' walk, you'll see a building with a large outdoor advertising screen on its exterior wall. This is Hyundai Department Store. The duty-free shop is on floors 8 to 10. Take the dedicated duty-free elevator, and you can unlock a super large shopping space with one click! The entire duty-free shop houses over a hundred well-known brands, from skincare and cosmetics to trendy clothing, and from watches and bags to everything you could need. The 8th floor mainly features luxury brands, including domestic and international luxury labels, jewelry, watches, and other European and American brands. The 9th floor mainly has skincare and beauty products, as well as domestic and international fashion brands and accessories. The 10th floor has small and medium-sized home appliances, Korean specialties, and cute character IP merchandise. For first-time visitors, it is recommended to register as a member at the membership service desk on the 10th floor. When registering, you can experience diverse shopping through various events and discounts. The service desk has dedicated Chinese-speaking staff who are very friendly, so don't worry if your Korean is not good. Whether in physical stores or online duty-free shops, there are discount events, so you can keep an eye out. Some brands even offer additional discounts on top of discounts, which is really great! During holidays or special events, the gifts are generous. The 10th floor also has a VIP lounge. If you book in advance, you can enjoy one-stop shopping services in the lounge, which is very thoughtful~

Now you know how to get to Korean duty-free shops, right? After reading about my Seoul duty-free shopping trip, you can't wait to visit the Gangnam duty-free shop in Seoul—Hyundai Department Store Duty Free! There are also attractions near the duty-free shop like Coex Mall, Starfield Library, etc., that you can visit. Take advantage of the holidays, invite friends, and take Line 2 to Hyundai Department Store Duty Free for some fun!
