DoubleTree by Hilton Makes Debut in South Korea

DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo opens in southern Gyeonggi Province, as the upscale brand under Hilton continues its rapid expansion.

DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo is the first upscale full-service hotel and apartment complex in southern Gyeonggi Province, and a new addition to the global portfolio of more than 660 DoubleTree by Hilton properties and nearly 100 in Asia Pacific.

DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo spans 25 floors and is the largest full-service hotel and apartment in southern Gyeonggi Province. The property consists of two buildings, featuring 432 guest rooms and 170 apartment suites, all with neutral tones and soft colors that blend seamlessly with the surrounding lush greenery.

The hotel's guest rooms feature a modern design with abundant natural light. Guests staying in executive rooms can enjoy not only the stylish space but also access to the executive lounge for beverages, light bites, and services. As the first upscale apartment hotel in Seongnam City, the apartments at DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo offer a choice of spacious studio apartments as well as one-bedroom and two-bedroom deluxe suites with separate bedroom and living areas.

The hotel offers diverse dining options. Guests can dine at Nyx Restaurant, enjoying panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Pangyo New City skyline, or visit the all-day dining restaurant Demeter for a buffet featuring global cuisines. The hotel also features advanced meeting and event facilities, an indoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center (including a well-equipped Pilates studio), a golf driving range, tennis courts, and a sauna, catering to guests' various dining, leisure, and social needs.

DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo also operates a rooftop apiary, aimed at protecting and sustaining active bee populations for sustainable beekeeping. The hotel thus produces its own honey, used to create various honey-infused delicacies, including a Bee's Knees cocktail made with natural honeycomb, honey cake, and the "Bee My Honey" afternoon tea set. As part of the DoubleTree by Hilton "Do Good, Feel Good" program and an extension of the DoubleTree by Hilton CARE culture, the hotel also holds weekly workshops educating children about caring for others. The honey education activities help young children understand the importance of bees to the ecosystem, fostering a sense of purpose through this model and achieving fulfillment through cognitive travel.

The hotel is also among the first in South Korea to achieve Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) chain-of-custody certification, ensuring that seafood served in all its restaurants comes from sustainable fisheries.

DoubleTree by Hilton continues its rapid expansion across Asia Pacific. In addition to its debut in South Korea, the brand celebrated the opening of its 50th property in Greater China in December 2022 – DoubleTree by Hilton Kunming Airport. Subsequently, DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama opened in January 2023, becoming the first DoubleTree by Hilton in the Hokuriku region of Japan.
