Where to Take Stunning Photos in Korea? Explore the World of Light and Shadow and Get a Life-Changing Photo with Ctrip Discounts

I casually flipped through photos from my previous trips to Korea, and the backdrops were always the same old spots like Myeongdong, N Seoul Tower, and Gwanghwamun—places I've visited countless times. Every time I go to Korea, I take photos, but it's always the same locations, and it gets a bit tiresome. So where in Korea can you take stunning photos? Are there any fresh new spots to explore? This guide will temporarily set aside outdoor attractions and take you to the Immersive Light Space in Seoul and the Mystery Light World on Jeju Island—both indoor, trendy photo spots where you can capture artistic and cultural, uniquely beautiful, life-changing shots!

Before this trip to Korea, I consulted a Korean friend. Aside from the usual tourist spots, I asked where in Korea I could take stunning photos. My friend recommended the Immersive Light Space in Seoul, saying that young Koreans are into exhibitions, especially the immersive art exhibitions that are very popular right now. Hearing that I planned to visit Jeju Island after Seoul, my friend also suggested the Mystery Light World on Jeju, another place to enjoy immersive art exhibitions and take beautiful photos.

Let me first tell you about the opening hours of the Immersive Light Space to help you plan your itinerary. The Immersive Light Space is open seven days a week. From Monday to Thursday, it opens from 10:00 AM to 6:20 PM, with last entry at 5:30 PM—no entry after that time. On weekends, the opening hours are extended by 50 minutes. Take Seoul Subway Line 2 to Gangbyeon Station or Line 5 to Gwangnaru Station, then take the hotel's free shuttle bus directly to the hotel entrance!

Currently, the venue features "The Endless Riddle" by Spanish surrealist painter Dalí. The space is filled with advanced holographic and light projection technologies, making the originally static paintings more vivid with the help of high-tech, like dreams and illusions that strike the soul. For those interested in architecture, you can also enjoy an art exhibition by the Spanish architectural genius Gaudí, delving into the essence of his colorful and fantastical design. Don't forget to take photos while viewing the art—the background is ever-changing light and shadow, allowing you to capture artistic, high-quality shots anytime. Every frame is stunning! There's also a café on the upper floors of the building offering a panoramic view of Seoul—a true God's-eye perspective!

After spending a few days in Seoul visiting the art exhibition, I headed to the Mystery Light World on Jeju Island! The architecture of the Mystery Light World is unique—it was originally a hidden underground bunker used by the former national communications agency, later converted into an art gallery. It's also open seven days a week, from 10:00 AM to 6:20 PM Korea time, with the same hours on weekdays and weekends. Last entry is before 5:30 PM.

The adult ticket price is 18,000 KRW. Since it's around the Lunar New Year, there are extra discounts when purchasing tickets for the Mystery Light World on Jeju through Ctrip! Exclusive offers for Chinese tourists—from February 5 to February 12, there's a 20% discount on Ctrip, and the ticket is valid until March 3. Be sure to visit! Transportation on Jeju Island isn't as convenient as in Seoul. Besides taking buses, you can also take taxis or rent a car to drive around.

Inside the venue, you can enjoy two different styles of art exhibitions at the same time. One is "Lee Il-jong, Jungdo Jeju" by Korean artist Lee Il-jong. Lee Il-jong is a local Korean artist making his debut at the Mystery Light World. He specializes in depicting Jeju's local customs, natural landscapes, and uses vibrant colors to render the unique flowers, trees, people, and animals of Jeju Island. Visitors can truly feel the everyday life of the local people and understand from the artist's perspective that all life and things are equal. In addition to the Korean artist, there is also an exhibition themed around modern painter Paul Cézanne, titled "Cézanne, The Light of Provence." Through varied colors and forms, it showcases Cézanne's creative philosophy, allowing visitors to see the world from a new perspective. These two exhibitions, with completely different moods and atmospheres, offer opportunities to take beautifully contrasting photos!

For those traveling to Korea and wondering where to take stunning photos, why not set aside the generic outdoor tourist routes for a while and immerse yourself in the soul-stirring art exhibitions at the Immersive Light Space and Mystery Light World? Escape the troubles of reality, step into the wonderful world of art, and add a mysterious artistic atmosphere to your travel photos!
